There is a local site (Alpha Rd. and 635) where you may shop for all items. Please note that the khaki pants or shorts for the boys, the sweaters, Peter Pan blouses, oxford shirts, socks and shoes may be purchased at any store as long as it complies with the uniform code. Phone #: (214) 378-5191 Uniforms are to be worn everyday with the following exceptions: Rosh Chodesh Dress-up day: (dates to follow): o Boys: Dress slacks of any color or clean jeans (no sweatpants or athletic mesh-type shorts or shirts); neat polo-type shirts with collars/no logos, tucked in with a belt; closed-toe, closedheel shoes; kipah. o Girls: Dresses or skirts of any type, provided that hemlines cover the knee; modest tops, which completely cover the midriff and which have necklines at the collarbone and sleeves that cover at least half of the upper arm; closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. Akiba Spirit Days: (dates to follow) Akiba will have Spirit Days to promote Akiba spirit. On these days, students can wear any colored-Akiba spirit wear. There may be specific ones such as pep rally or Israel Independence Day. On these days, students may wear blue and white clothing (no sweatpants or mesh basketball shorts or shirts are allowed for boys) and girls must wear skirts that cover the knee. Akiba logo’d shirts are also allowed. Game Days: When students have athletic games in which they are participating, they are to dress in school uniform or certain designated game day shirts. On designated occasions, they may dress in synagogue/shul clothes, keeping within the guidelines of modesty of the school. All shoes should be closed-toe, closed-heel shoes.
