Message from the Director, Rose Swidan
First, I’d like to give a big “thank you” to everyone that came and
supported our Paint ‘n Pour fundraiser. We could not have done
it without your support - thank you again.
I also want to thank AARP and our Treasurer Stacy Paige,
Deputy Treasurer Tracy Leininger, Bob Cruz and
Joe Ozog for another successful tax season.
May means Mother’s Day. It’s time to honor and cherish the
special bond of love that you and your mother share. A mother
does so much for her children, now is the time to
acknowledge her hard work and selfless love for you. In the
United States, the history of Mother's Day goes back to the late
19th century. The concept of observing Mother's Day as a day
for peace was first suggested in the United Sates by Julia Ward
Howe in 1872, this was right after the Franco Prussian War.
Please join us for Mayor Burcroff’s Mother’s Day Brunch on May 7th to celebrate our mothers and being
a mother!
I am excited to bring back our Juicing for Better Health Class again. We will also be starting our
Walking Club again, Monday through Friday, please join us!
Spring is here and it’s time to beautify our yards. Seniors that are on chore service should please call
the Senior Center and sign up for a work order for grass cuttings and other services.
Love & Prayers,
The Swidan
