Daniel Salas of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Please call 544-4363 or email [email protected] to reserve a spot Born in 1994 on California’s Central Coast, Daniel Salas began his training at the Academy of Dance. In 2012, he graduated with honors from Walnut Hill School for the Arts, where he was the Director’s Scholar. Salas has additional education from Canada’s National Ballet School, The Juilliard School, American Ballet Theatre, and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. He has danced repertoire by Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Alvin Ailey, Robert Moses, and Nobert De La Cruz III; the latter with whom he studied closely under as a part of Robert Battle’s New Directions Choreography Lab. Salas has participated in benefit evenings including the Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo Spring Gala, in 2011; The Ailey at the Apollo Gala, in 2013; Park Avenue Armory Gala, in 2013; and The Ailey Spirit Gala at Lincoln Center, in 2014. He currently resides in New York City, where he is a senior in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program and working with the second companies of both Ballet Hispanico and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
