•
Full school uniform must be worn at all times. Runners are strictly forbidden.
•
Students will be required to wear a tie on formal occasions or as directed by the
principal and staff of the school.
•
Hair must be clean and tidy. No distracting or outlandish hairstyles or any hair
dye will be accepted. Long hair should be tied back neatly each day. Hair gel is
banned.
•
For girls one pair of (non-hooped) small stud-sized earrings is acceptable
regardless of the number of piercings. Boys are not permitted to wear any earrings.
•
Facial and tongue piercings are strictly forbidden.
•
Students are not permitted to wear make-up, nail varnish or visible tattoos.
•
A wrist watch is permitted for all and a small ring on each hand is acceptable for
girls only. There should be no other visible jewellery.
•
No jacket other than the school fleece may be worn.
•
The Coláiste na hInse PE uniform must be worn for all PE classes and for all
sporting outings.
•
Flat, low, leather black- shoes are recommended-runners are forbidden.
•
The Coláiste na hInse school uniform is striking and all partners are very proud of
it. It is expected that students and parents maintain and clean the uniform to the
highest standard daily and pupils wear it with bród (pride).
•
All uniform must be labelled clearly with student’s name. We would advise
parents/guardians to place an identifiable marker e.g. small ribbon/button on the
school jacket in a discreet location for easy identification.
•
If a student attends school without the full school uniform their parents/guardians
will be contacted immediately and appropriate measures adopted as the school
authorities deem fit.
