WELCOME TO WORSHIP
We are always happy to have visitors with us
in Cregagh; and we welcome any who may
be worshipping with us today.
We would invite our visitors to sign the
Visitor’s Book in the Vestibule, giving full
name and postal address.
This morning, any parents of young children
are invited to make use of the Creche (in the Barbour Hall) for babies or KidZone (in
the Stewart Hall) for 3 year olds upwards who leave church after the children’s
address and hymn.
Refreshments will be served in the Allen Hall following this morning’s service.
This evening we are delighted to welcome to our
Connect service Mr Chris Mathieson from the Mission
Aviation Fellowship. MFA uses planes to transform
the lives of the world’s most isolated people in need and
fly thousands of aid and relief missions to really remote
places, because that’s where some of the greatest human needs are.
The Retiring Offering after this evening’s service is in aid of MAF.

in 2014) but raised £1666 (£35 up on 2014) – Gift Aid has still to be added to this
figure. Appreciation must also be given to the elders who contributed in many ways,
financially, supplying food, kitchen or waitressing duty, washing dishes etc.
YOU TOOK MY PARKING SPACE AT CHURCH!
One day, a man went as a visitor to a church. He got there early, parked his
car and got out. Another car pulled up nearby and parked. The driver got
out and said, “I always park there! You took my place!”
The visitor went inside for the service, found an empty seat and sat down.
A young lady from the church approached him and stated, “That’s my seat!
You took my place!”
The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said
nothing.
After the service, the visitor went into the Sanctuary and sat down to pray.
Another member came up to him and said, “That’s where I always sit! You
took my place!” The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but
still said nothing. Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell
among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. His
clothing became a simple robe. Horrible scars became visible on his hands
and on his now sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed
him and called out, “What happened to you?” The visitor replied, as his
hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye,
“I TOOK YOUR PLACE!”
When you have read this, just say a prayer. That’s all you have to do. Maybe, just
maybe, we can get the world to start thinking of “who took our place”
