COMMUNION SERVER MINISTRY SCHEDULE Please be familiar with these GUIDELINES: 1. Prepare your heart in advance as you serve the Communion elements – remember this is a significant ministry in the worship of God 2. Pastor Martin will call up the Communion servers at the appropriate time and you will stand in front of the platform to receive the trays from him. You will be assigned an aisle and be responsible for passing the trays as needed from row to row. When you reach the back, wait until all the servers have finished. Please note that you will only pass ONE tray containing both bread and juice. 3.
Pastor Martin will "motion" for the servers to come forward after you are finished serving (be aware that this may take place before the Communion song has finished). Please be watching for his cue. For the first service, servers 1L and 5R will hold on to their trays until the song is finished and then will serve the worship team on the platform. 4.
Pastor Martin will be the only person to pray as we take the bread and cup together unless directed otherwise. 5.
If you are unable to serve on a particular day, FIRST please make an effort to switch with someone or find an alternate substitute from the Communion roster. Once you have found a substitute, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LET ME KNOW. If you are unable to find a substitute, please let me know that as well. Thanks so much. 1L
