There are two customs regarding observing the
mourning during the Omer period. Some
observe from second day of Pesach until Lag
(Day 33) Ba’omer and some observe from Rosh
Chodesh Iyar until three days before Shavuos.
The prohibitions of the Omer period are not
listening to music, not attending weddings and
celebrations and not shaving or getting haircuts.
If you observe the time from second day of
Pesach the limitation on haircutting and shaving
begins on Pesach. The music and celebration
limitations begin with the end of Pesach.
