Graduation is a formal affair; no corsages or pins on gown prior to the ceremony.
Please leave all valuables in your car or give them to your family/friends.

Your photo will be taken before you enter Pitman Theatre and again
as you cross the Pitman Theatre stage during the graduation
ceremony.
A commencement DVD is available for $20 through the Media Hub.
Graduation Information for Your Guests:
Pitman Theatre doors open at 6:00 p.m. for graduation seating. Guests do not need
tickets; seats are not reserved.
Special needs: Graduates whose guests are in wheelchairs or need special
assistance may enter Pitman Theatre through the internal side entrance doors.
Handicapped seating is designated in special areas. An usher will assist guests.
Thank you to Ingrid Davis, MBA, who will offer the Invocation at graduation.

Suzanne Kreuziger, CNS (MSN ’14), took third place in a poster competition at
the Building Bridges to Research-Based Nursing Practice conference on May 8, 2015.
Her poster was titled “Improving Adherence in Patients with Diabetes: What Is
Nursing’s Role?”
Fall Registration Tuition Scholarship Awarded!
Rhonda Sharpe, a student in the School of Education, won the On-Time
Registration Tuition Scholarship for fall 2015. Contact the Registrar’s Office for
details on how to win this scholarship in future semesters!
Not Yet Registered for Summer and Fall 2015?

If you do plan to register and know what you want to take, you may go on to
IOL and enter your registration. Also, check on Student Information to see if
you have any holds that may prevent you from getting registered.
 If you are unsure about what to take or would like to review your
registration choices, you can print your Academic Evaluation on IOL. Please
contact your advisor to set up an appointment.
 If you are having difficulties with the registration process, you may contact
the Registrar’s Office (414-382-6370) or go to Academic Computing for
assistance.
If you are not going to register for the fall semester, you have the option of taking
some time off by completing a Student on Leave form, OR you may choose to
withdraw from the College. Either way, there is some paperwork that must be
completed, which can be done by phone. Please call the Academic Advising office at
(414) 382-6029.

August graduates march in the December Commencement
following their graduation date. Diplomas are available the
week following the August graduation date pending
satisfaction of all financial obligations and completion of
coursework. The name of the graduate appears on the
commencement program with a footnote indicating the official
graduation date. Graduates not participating in the
commencement ceremony should contact the Registrar’s Office.

There are no tickets for the Masters Ceremony. Seats are not
assigned. Please let us know how many guests you will be
bringing. Return the Graduate Commencement RSVP Card to
the Registrar’s Office. The card was attached to your
application for graduation.
CAP & GOWN
l Order
and pay for your cap and gown online before
midnight on April 26 at https://collegegrad.herffjones.com
l Orders placed after April 26 will incur a $25 late charge
and may incur extra shipping charges.
l Cost: Approximately $50 plus tax and shipping. Credit or
debit card only.
l Caps, gowns, and tassels will ship directly to your home.
l You will receive the hood the day of commencement.
l Try on and iron your gown before commencement.

l Please refrain from decorating your cap and wearing cords,
stolls, or corsages. These items can be worn under your
gown or after the ceremony.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Graduation announcements are the perfect way to inform
friends and family that “you did it!” Personalized
announcements may be ordered through Herff Jones online at
https://collegegrad.herffjones.com/finepaper. Announcements
ship 14 days from receipt of order.
GRADUATION FEE
The Graduation Fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee that is
added to your account when you apply for graduation. The fee
is to be paid to the Business Office regardless of whether or not
you plan to participate in the ceremony.
AUGUST GRADUATES
PHOTOGRAPHS
Empire Photography will photograph you as you receive your
diploma and hood. There is no cost to have the photos taken.
Alverno College will supply Empire Photography with home
mailing addresses and Alverno email addresses of all
graduates. Empire will send notification to Alverno email
addresses once the photos are available for viewing. You may
order pictures by mail, fax, or online. Orders are processed
and shipped directly to the graduates.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Guests in wheelchairs or who need special assistance may
enter any theatre entrance. Handicap seating is designated to
special areas. An usher will be available to assist you.

Please remind your guests that Alverno College is a

TRANSCRIPTS & NARRATIVES
The transcript form is online at alverno.edu/registrar/forms/
Standard Service: 24-48 hours. $5 per transcript.
Rush: Same day. $10 per transcript.
As part of your transcript you also receive a narrative, which is
an evaluation of your overall academic achievement. The
narratives can take up to six months or longer to receive. You
will receive an unofficial copy of your transcript and narrative
once the narrative statement is completed.
If the transcripts are sent with the narrative to follow or are
held for the narrative, a priority rush will be put on the
narrative. It may take a week to a month or more to receive.
Note: The graduation date does not appear on transcripts until
the Monday following graduation.
