NEED A LOAN? SEE YOUR CREDIT UNION FIRST! Coming May 1, 2012 – New Mobile Banking! Parkview Community Federal Credit Union is making changes to one of our existing services! In February, PC Banking was revised and changed to better improve its functionality. But this time, we’re changing our Mobile Banking! Coming May 1st, our Mobile Banking (a.k.a. Touch Banking) will be more up-to-date and will work seamlessly with our recently changed PC Banking. With the new and improved Touch Banking, you’ll continue to enjoy the freedom and convenience of unlimited, account access! The new Touch Banking offers access to your account regardless of what type of mobile phone you have. Downloadable apps are available for iPhones, Android, Blackberry, and other Java supported mobile devices. Don’t worry if your phone doesn’t support a mobile app because you can still do your banking as long as your phone is WAP/WEB browser capable and/or Text/SMS capable. Having all of these different entry methods on your mobile phone ensures that you always have constant access to your PCFCU account. To setup Touch Banking on your mobile device, simply log into your PC Banking account. Select ‘Mobile’ on the Services menu then, click on ‘Setup’. You may choose which accounts you want to have access to in Touch Banking here. You’ll be given some additional instructions/information, then click ‘Next’. Next, you’ll be asked to enter your mobile phone number. Once you’ve entered it, click ‘Next’. NOTE: You should have your mobile device with you during this process because you will receive a text message that contains an activation code which you will need to continue the setup process. Next, you will be asked to select how you would like to access your PC Banking account through your mobile device. Check the box to all that apply to your mobile device, then click ‘Next’. You can also select to receive alerts to be delivered to your mobile device regarding specific activity on your PCFCU account here as well. This will not change any settings you have set up on your PC Banking account; it will just add an additional method of how the alerts are delivered. You should now receive an activation code on your mobile device. Enter this activation code on the ‘Activate Your Phone’ page. Once you’ve entered the activation code, click ‘Activate’. If the activation is successful, you will receive a message that states ‘Activation Successful’. If the activation was not successful, then you will receive instructions on what you need to do so that there will be a successful activation. Follow those instructions and proceed through the setup process again. You will also receive instructions on your mobile device as well on how to access the Touch Banking whether it is a link for the downloadable app, and/or a WAP/WEB browser link that will take you directly to your Touch Banking site. That’s all there is to it! So be sure to save the date – May 1, 2012 and keep an eye out for more information on our new and improved Touch Banking. If you aren’t a PC Banking user yet or you have questions about it or our Touch Banking, please call or stop by to speak to a Credit Union Representative. Community Involvement The Intersection’s Thanksgiving Day Dinner Some of the Parkview Community FCU staff had the opportunity to serve as volunteers at Thanksgiving Day dinner held at the Intersection here in McKeesport. The Intersection is a non-profit social organization that provides hot meals, clothing and medical attention FREE to those in need. President/CEO Gina Tatkus, Business Development & Compliance Specialist Lechelle Brown and Member Service Representative Mary Beth Musati helped other Intersection staff and volunteers prepare a hot Thanksgiving Day dinner for over 50 area residents who didn’t have the means to provide a meal for themselves. McKeesport’s Annual Festival of Trees Parkview Community FCU participated in McKeesport’s Annual Festival of Trees in December once again this year. This was the 26th year for the event which displays decorated themed trees of area organizations and businesses. Admission was $2 but children were admitted for FREE if they brought a canned good which was donated to the Intersection, a non-profit organization social organization here in McKeesport. Parkview’s tree theme this year was “Legend of the Poinsettia” which won 3rd place in the Inspirational category. This was Parkview Community FCU’s 4th year participating in the event. President/CEO Gina Takus, Member Service Manager Liana Falchetti and Teller Debbie Puskaric designed and decorated the tree entry for PCFCU. Catherine’s Children Foundation of East McKeesport Once again some of the employees of PCFCU had the opportunity of making Christmas special for some less fortunate children in the area. Catherine’s Children Foundation of East McKeesport is sponsoring the children of several families that reside in the East Allegheny School District. The non-profit foundation which is headed by the Rosenbayger sisters (Connie, Lynn, Kathleen, Diane) assists families in the district who are in need of basic necessities. Their efforts are aided by teachers in the district who see a need and convey that need to the school guidance counselor. The guidance counselor than contacts the foundation to meet that need. In order to help Catherine’s Children Foundation meet the needs of these families for Christmas, the following employees volunteered to provide at least one gift for a child: President/CEO Gina Tatkus, Lending Manager Becky Handra, Member Service Manager Liana Falchetti, Accounting Manager Robin Vanestenberg, Business Development & Compliance Specialist Lechelle Brown, Checking Account Representative Noreen Niccolai, Accounting Clerk Michelle Maddock, Member Service Representative Mary Beth Musati, Head Teller Tammy Cavallaro, Teller Courtney Gilmore and Teller Debbie Puskaric. Auberle’s Santa Wrapping Party Several Parkview Community FCU employees volunteered at Auberle’s Santa Wrapping Party in December. Some of the Auberle staff and volunteers sorted and organized Christmas gifts that were bought for the Auberle residents. The gifts were then wrapped by volunteers from all over including some of our PCFCU staff such as Business Development and Compliance Specialist Lechelle Brown, Accounting Manager Robin Vanestenberg, Loan Officer Roxana Jordan, Member Service Representative Mary Beth Musati and Teller Debbie Puskaric. The Christmas gifts were then presented to the Auberle residents at the St. Nicholas Day event held in the Program Center. Parkview Community Federal Credit Union constantly strives to give back to the communities it services whether it is through volunteering time for an event/fundraiser or donating to an organization for a worthy cause. It is our way of making the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” a reality. WE CARE ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY! The New PC Banking Service Is Here! On February 7, 2012, Parkview Community Federal Credit Union rolled out its new and improved PC Banking service. We assured you that the changes would still provide you with the features and functionality that you were already used to but that it would also give you more flexibility and freedom by providing you with one-click access to what matters most to you. All of the newly added features seem to be operating normally and are a great addition to what you were already used to in the older version of PC Banking. One of those new features is the option to customize your PC Banking main page to include the features and functions that you use most often. You will also enjoy the ability to re-order checks or access your PCFCU Visa Credit Card information all with no additional login attempt(s). Just click on the appropriate tab at the top of the Services menu and you will be re-directed to the site(s) effortlessly. Another feature that you might find appealing is that you will now have access to your e-Statements for 12 months instead of 3. We hope that this will be more helpful to you since it provides you with a longer time frame to access your accounts without having to contact us to request them. The new PC Banking allows you to change your Login ID to one of your choice instead of using your Member Number. This feature adds more security as well as personalization. You also have the option to create Sub Users, people who may/may not be on your account but who you are allowing to have access to your PC Banking account. You create a Login ID and Password just for them in addition to setting up special permissions that they will have once they access your PC Banking account. This is a great feature if, at any time, you are unable to gain access to your account and need to process transactions. Hopefully, you haven’t had any problems with the new PC Banking. However, if you notice that any of the features, new or old, aren’t working correctly, please don’t hesitate to stop by or call. Also, if you have yet to enroll in the PC Banking service at Parkview Community Federal Credit Union, but you would like to, stop by or call the office. Or you can visit www.pc-fcu.org and enroll. Just click on the PC Banking Login button on our Home page. When the PC Banking Login page opens up, click on the ‘Not Enrolled? Enrolled Today!’link and complete the requested information. You will have immediate account access once the information you entered has been verified. Parkview Community FCU takes pride and honor in serving you and your family while providing security for your future. Power Of Attorney A power of attorney is an important document that allows you to designate another party (agent) to make decisions on your behalf. Parkview Community Federal Credit Union only recognizes and honors our Durable Power of Attorney document. Should you want to appoint an agent to make decisions regarding your accounts at PCFCU, you and the agent will need to come into our office and complete our document. The completed document will be notarized by one of our notaries and a copy will be kept on file here at the credit union. Please stop by or call us to speak to a credit union representative if you have any questions regarding this matter.
