Special Limits Marine Engineer Programme

CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY (CoC) SPECIAL LIMITS MARINE ENGINEER PROGRAMME
The place-n-train programme for CoC (Special Limits) Marine Engineer is a new programme
collaborated with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Workforce
Development Agency (WDA), e2i (Employment and Employability Institute), Singapore Maritime
Academy (SMA) and Singapore Shipping Association’s (SSA) affiliated bunkering companies. The
aim is to train locals as Marine Engineers onboard vessels plying within Special Limits (refer to
voyage limits below)
Duties and Responsibilities
 Responsible for all operations and maintenance of all engineering equipment on board
 Ensure the systems are properly maintained
 Responsible for maintaining the main engine room
 Determine the consumables required for voyages
Programme Details
Successful applicants will have to attend an intensive 14-months training programme
comprising of 3 training phases:

Eligibility Criteria
Singaporeans and Singapore PRs with at least NITEC in an Engineering field
