Summer Delights A Small Standard Flower Show District General Membership Meeting May 18, 2015 Chairman: Elaine Pinkerton Entry Time: 8:30 a.m.-9:30a.m.: Removal Time: 1:30 p.m. or upon conclusion of afternoon program. Location: St. Andrews Church, Bellevue Horticulture Rules 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 All horticulture entries must be fresh plant material grown by the exhibitor. The exhibitor will provide clear, clean glass container of appropriate size with no distracting markings. All specimens must be correctly named to include genera, species and variety/cultivar if possible. Good grooming and conditioning are important. No enhancement of foliage is permitted. All entries should consist of one specimen unless otherwise stated. Limit of seven (7) entries per person. Classes will be subdivided if each is a different variety, cultivar, type or color. Exhibitor can make more than one entry per class if each is a different variety, cultivar, type or color. Cut specimens should not have foliage below the water line. Wedging is permitted. Suggestions include plastic wrap, celery plugs, wood plugs. No cut specimen shall be more than 30” from tip to cut end. 12 Horticulture entry cards should be filled out in advance, if possible, using pencil or water-proof pen to avoid water damage. Exhibitors must provide substitute if unable to participate. 3. An exhibitor may enter as many classes as desired, but only one exhibit per class. 4. Each design must be the work of one individual. 5. No artificial flowers, fruit or foliage permitted. 6. All designs must contain plant material. Fresh plant material should be emphasized. 7. Fresh plant material may never be treated or embellished in any way. 8. Dried plant material may be treated, painted or embellished. 9.
