Prayer for Christian Unity
This year in the Southern Hemisphere the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes place between Ascension Thursday (May 14) and Pentecost Sunday (24 May) The theme jointly prepared by the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and the Commission on Faith and
Order of the World Council of Churches is based on the episode of Jesus meeting the Samaritan
woman at the well (Jn 4:1-42) with specific emphasis on the phrase: Jesus said to her: "Give me
to drink". (Jn 4:7) Lets meditate on this Gospel until Pentecost and pray that all Christian be
united.

Psalm 103: 1-2. 11-12. 19-20ab (R. 19a)
The Lord has fixed his throne in heaven.
1. Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all within me, his holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul
and never forget all his benefits. R
2. For as the heavens are high above the earth,
so strong his mercy for those who fear him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far from us does he remove our transgressions. R
3. The Lord has fixed his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom is ruling over all.
Bless the Lord, all you his angels,
mighty in power, fulfilling his word. R
