Day 1. Arrive Hanoi
On arrival in Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, you’ll be met at the airport and
transferred to your hotel. Like a Local – enjoy a special Welcome Dinner at
KOTO on Van Mieu. KOTO stands for ‘know one, teach one’, and gives
disadvantaged youth the opportunity to train at its culinary school.

Day 2. Hanoi
Take in Hanoi on a guided sightseeing tour, including the Ho Chi Minh
Mausoleum and historic Ba Dinh Square. Like a Local – take an afternoon

Day 3. Hanoi, Ha Long Bay
After breakfast, travel to Ha Long. Special Stay – board your premium Bhaya Cruises premium junk for

Day 6. Angkor, Siem Reap
Enhance Your Journey: This morning, perhaps enjoy a Select Experience, such as a cooking class.
Then, on a guided tour, visit the most enduring capital of the Khmer empire, Angkor Thom, a walled city
complex within the World Heritage-listed Angkor Archaeological Park. Visit the 13th-century temple,
Bayon, as well as the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Tonight, enjoy dinner
and a traditional Apsara dance performance.

Day 7. Angkor, Siem Reap
Today, visit Ta Prohm, a temple famous for its intertwined trees. Like a Local – visit Opportunities of
Development through Art (ODA), which provides support and education for poor and underprivileged
children. This evening, cap off the day with a spectacular sunset over Angkor Wat, also located within
the Angkor Archaeological Park.

Day 8. Siem Reap, Embark Cruise
Board your river ship, the RV La Marguerite, and get set to explore the mighty Mekong River. This

Day 9. Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Tralach, Oudong
This morning your ship sets out for Kampong Tralach. Like a Local – enjoy an ox-cart ride. Visit the
Imperial City. Like a Local – travel by coach to Oudong for a Buddhist blessing.

Day 10. Koh Chen, Phnom Penh.
Explore Koh Chen today, a small village specialising in silver and copperware. Then cruise to Phnom
Penh, Cambodia’s capital. Enjoy dinner on the ship, followed by a Khmer folk performance on board.

Day 11. Phnom Penh
Join an excursion to the infamous Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum on the site of the
Khmer Rouge’s notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21). Following lunch, take a guided tour of Phnom Penh
and see the opulent Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. After dinner, perhaps step out for a walk.

Day 12. Border Crossing, Tan Chau
Spend today on board as your ship cruises to the Vietnamese border. This afternoon, perhaps attend a
fruit-carving demonstration while border formalities are carried out. Later, arrive in the Vietnamese town
of Tan Chau.

Day 13. Tan Chau, Sa Dec
Travel along the tributaries around Tan Chau, then go ashore for a rickshaw tour and an interesting visit
to local artisan workshops. Afterwards, perhaps attend a lecture on Vietnam in the ship’s lounge.

Day 14. Sa Dec, Cai Be
This morning, take a boat ride to Sa Dec for a tour. After lunch, a local boat takes you to the river-land
town of Cai Be to explore its incredible floating markets. Then go ashore to see Cai Be’s French Gothic
Cathedral and visit a local rice paper manufacturer to learn how rice paper is made. This evening, return
to your ship and enjoy your last night onboard with a Farewell Dinner.

Day 15. Disembark Ship, Cu Chi Tunnels, Ho Chi Minh City
(Saigon)
Disembark at My Tho Port today and travel by coach to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a tunnel network built by
Vietnamese resistance fighters during the Vietnam War. Part of a larger network, the tunnels were used
by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat. They also served as communication and supply
routes, hospitals, weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. Special Stay – be
close to the action at the Grand Hotel Saigon.
