Now, Fifth Sunday Musicales will move to Sunday mornings – starting

outreach event – many guests worshipping with us – Faith Fellowship folks
being intentional in bringing friends and neighbors.

Reach Out in June!
by Ron Reaguer
People respond to personal invitations when being invited to church better
than they do by reading it in the paper or hearing it on the radio. We hope you
will give some thought about the people in your life that you would like to
invite to church and then make the effort to invite them in the month of June.
For those of you on Facebook, send a personal request to a friend. Guests can
stop by the Hospitality table and pick up a little gift. Reach out to them and
make them feel welcome! (Matthew 10:40)

Untold Secrets of Success
Now that this photo is being shared around the world (in The Current and on
internet), what more can be said. There’s got to more than one way for a choir
director to attract attention. The rest of the story goes like this. It began in a
choir rehearsal a few weeks ago when I talked with the choir about achieving
a certain tone quality in one of our Fifth Sunday anthems. I suggested that

Mission Moment
by Marsha Oakley
Faith Fellowship of Lexington seeks to become the hands and feet of Christ
in the world through engagement in missions.
Have you had to experience the devastating effects of a massive flood, as
many have had to endure in Texas, over the last couple of weeks? Having a
few inches of water in a basement does not begin to compare. As you think of
what many families are having to contend with, our thoughts, prayers and
actions reflect on how to support in any way that we can. Our 3rd Sunday of
Sharing will be focused on monetary donations to be given to some of these
Strangers in Texas, who need assistance and encouragement, and will take
place on Sunday, June 14th.
The Mission Committee is looking into organizations that are supporting
this effort, and will choose a Christian one to share our efforts. In addition,
we are having anyone, who so desires, write a note of encouragement and
support to be given to families who benefit. Note cards will be available in
the Lobby on June 14th for this purpose, and will be sent with the donations
that are received.
Welcoming, Caring for, or Supporting Strangers is one of the directives
from Christ – may our hearts prove worthy.

Jeff has answered the call at
Antioch Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ) in Lexington,
Kentucky to be their full-time
Senior Minister. He will begin his
service on Monday, June 8.
Engagement in FB terms means taking one of four specific actions: liking a
post, commnting, sharing or clicking on a link. Some things don't count as
engagement: reading, viewing or liking the entire page (as opposed to a
specific post).
Now, here's the exciting news -- In the past 28 days, people have engaged with
Faith Fellowship's FB page from all over the place: Lexington; St. Croix
Falls, WI; Winchester; Richmond; Statesville, NC; Helena, AL; Owenton;
Manchester; Plymouth, MN; Durham, NC; New Richmond, WI; Valencia,
CA; Ponca City, OK; Coppell, TX; San Antonio, TX; Gainesville, GA;
Louisville; Somerset; and Taylors Falls, MN!
Do any of these locations sound familiar to you? Perhaps you shared a post
which resulted in engagement by a family member.
We may not be taking in a lot of new members from Oklahoma and
Minnesota, but you never know -- those folks may have friends in Kentucky
who are looking for a church home. Please continue to engage with our FB
posts so that others may do so as well. We love it when you like us.
