for co-chairing this event. It is appreciated by our members and the entire community. Sign-up sheets for helping
serve or provide food are in the Welcome Center.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS!
We will be celebrating along with our graduating high school seniors on Sunday, May 17th. They
will be presented with a beautiful quilt made lovingly by our quilters and there will be a cake and

Landscape News
Spring is here and the Landscape Committee is making plans. Council approved the next phase of the project which is
the south/southwest sides of the church. Estimated cost for this phase is $1800.
You can help with this phase of the project in two ways. If you would like to contribute financially, please mark
Landscape on your giving envelopes. If you would like to help with the labor of the project, please contact a member
of the Landscape Committee and they will keep you apprised of the work schedule.

We would like to say thank you to everyone for the recognition we received as church secretaries here at Faith
recently. The cards with such kind words will be read again and again. The cake was so beautifully decorated and
the flowers you gave us add springtime to our homes.

Only two people showed up on Earth Day to clean up our highway…we will reschedule it and hopefully have a better
turnout.
Also thanks to all who showed up to clean up outside and inside our church property. We truly appreciate your
help.

Kids for Christ Youth Group
Earth Day Service Event
By the time this newsletter is printed, the KFC Earth Day project will be done - and hopefully by the time this newsletter is
printed, all the kids will be cleaned up of any dirt they accumulated in the process! Kids helped at Faith Lutheran, readying the
next landscape area around our church building. And kids reached out into the community, decorating pots and planting small
potted flowers to be delivered to local meals-on-wheels recipients with a message from Faith Lutheran. Thank you kids, for
caring about God’s earth and His people!
It’s not to late to think about summer camp . . .
Good Earth Village has some wonderful experiences (day camp or overnight) for kids from preschool through high school, as
well as family and grandparent/child opportunities. For prices and available dates, check out the Good Earth Village website at
goodearthvillage.org, or check with the church office for brochures. Faith Lutheran pays half of the cost for any member, so the
cost becomes quite reasonable. If your child signs up for camp, please let the church office and/or other parents know so that
schedules and possibly rides can be coordinated. We currently have some children attending in June, and another group
attending in July.

National Youth Gathering Update
We are one month closer to the 2015 National Youth Gathering to be held in Detroit, Michigan, July 15-19! Connor Kropp
attended his second meeting with the group of youth from five Kenyon-area churches that he will be joining for the Gathering.
At their most recent meeting, Connor found out which hotel southeastern Minnesota youth will use, he found out his room-mate
assignments, and he voted on the various t-shirts that the group will wear each day to help identify their group.
Connor sold a substantial amount of stock to the generous stockholders of Faith Lutheran! If you are a stockholder and have
not received a thank you message, either by email or phone, by May 1, please contact Connor or his parents. This will
help to verify the recorded sales and correct email addresses. There are two shares unaccounted for; they may be from an
anonymous donor, but if they are not, we wish to recognize that stockholder(s) and be sure they are invited to the stockeholders
dinner.
