1. As you complete your college research, you should have one school from each of the following categories:
a. Reach School – which means it would be a stretch for you to be admitted (based on their minimum GPA
and SAT/ACT requirements), but you would like to apply because it is a dream school or it offers your major
b. Good Fit or Realistic School – which means based on their minimum GPA and SAT/ACT requirements you
are a solid match and this school offers the area of interest or major you want to pursue
c. Safety School – which means you are well above their minimum GPA and standardized testing
requirements. This school may not be on top of your list, but it will be an option that you have in case of the
choices don’t work out. This school also offers the area of interest or major you want to pursue
2. All requests for recommendations or paperwork from Laurel Springs School and its instructors must be
received 45 days prior to their due date. Requests submitted after the 45 day mark will be completed based
on the order in which they were received. For late submissions, we will do our best to complete all required
documentation prior to the college deadline.
3. In order to consider your request received, you must have completed the following:
• original forms and pre-addressed stamped envelopes for each institution (submitting paper applications)
• completed and signed College Application and Recommendation Policy Form
• completed Student Information Form
