We continue to be in prayer with the people in Nepal and all who are affected by the earthquake including first responders and families of those who have died or are missing. Global Ministries has been in touch with all of our missionaries in the area and confirmed they are safe. UMCOR is preparing a response, working through local and international partners. Donations to support the response to the earthquake in Nepal and other international disasters can be made through UMCOR Advance # 982450. Checks can be made out to the church and write UMCOR Advance #982450 in the memo. We will collect these offerings through May 24, 2015. GENESIS 12:1-5a 12 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. 2 I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”4 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Abram took his wife Sarai and his brother’s son Lot, and all the possessions that they had gathered, and the persons whom they had acquired in Haran; and they set forth to go to the land of Canaan. CONFIRMATION CREED CONFIRMANDS: We, the Confirmation Class of 2015, Believe ALL: That our Father God: Is Perfect, Lives in Heaven, Is the Creator and Maker of All Things, Is All Powerful, Loves All of His Creation, Sees All and Knows All. He ascended into Heaven and lives with God the Father. That The Holy Spirit: Was given by Jesus Christ, He lives inside of us, And is our Friend and Constant Companion. He is our Teacher and Guide in all the Ways of Jesus. That as Representative of Jesus Christ: We will attend church regularly and participate By praying, singing, and listening to God’s Word. We will help feed the hungry, Help clothe those who have not clothing, And help find shelter for the Homeless.
