John W. Gibson Jr. – John Gibson currently serves on the Board of Directors of Tervita Corporation a leading midstream services company providing energy and environmental services to customers across North America. Prior to his appointment to the Board, John served as President and CEO of Tervita. John joined Tervita in 2010 and oversaw the amalgamation of 11 different service companies into the present day Tervita. Before joining Tervita John served as CEO of Paradigm Geophysical and president of Halliburton’s Energy Services Group. John also serves on the Boards of Directors for Orocobre Ltd., Blue Spark Energy Inc., and I-Pulse Inc. He is a member of the University of Houston Energy Advisory Committee and Houston Baptist University Board of Trustees. John holds a BS degree from Auburn University and a Masters of Science from the University of Houston both in the field of Geology. John’s areas of expertise, experience and influence cover a broad range of disciplines. His professional background supports his focus on minimizing the environmental impacts associated with energy development in areas of fracking, protection of water resources and waste minimization. John has also spoken on, and been directly involved in developing and managing appropriate social license at the individual company and global industry levels. Over the course of John’s career he has held senior leadership positions in exploration & production, high-tech and conventional energy services, and environmental services. Having operated within three unique energy industry environments provides John with unique perspectives on the challenges and issues associated with the development of our energy resources.
