WOW! We can not believe that this is our last month of dance! Just a reminder that April tuition is due. All accounts
must be current in order for each dancer to perform in the recital.
The dancers have done a great job preparing for the shows. We can see such a big improvement since the
dance season started in October. Self esteem and talent have sky rocketed and friendships have been made.

* Recital Ticket Sales- An order form to purchase dance
recital tickets will be sent via email to all families on
Friday, April 3rd. Please print it off, fill it out and send
it in the MAIL (with a self addressed, stamped LETTER
SIZE envelope included) to the address on the form.
The order form will be completely self explanatory. We
will NOT accept any orders in person, either at dance or
at our homes. We have had people do this in the past
and quite frankly, make it uncomfortable
for the people filling the orders. PLEASE
follow the rules.
The recital will be assigned seating,
so please know how many people will
be in your party if you all want to sit
together. Once tickets are purchased there
will be no refunds or exchanges due to the seating
chart. We split up the entire dance studio again this
year, however, we have had shows sell out in the past.
There is NO LIMIT on the amount of tickets you may
purchase. All tickets are $8.00. We accept cash or
checks.
*Sign up sheets for recital helpers will be located on
the table in the nursery. We appreciate your help in
advance. WE HAVE A VERY STRICT POLICY ON
PEOPLE BEING BACKSTAGE DURING THE SHOW!
If you feel like your daughter will “need you” during that
time then you must sign up to help as a room mom.
Space is limited, so please consider your options now.
If we need more volunteers, we will ask. If you choose
to help at the show, only helpers with a “backstage

pass” will be admitted. Please know we do this for
SAFETY reasons. NO ONE else will be allowed to
come or go backstage. If there would happen to be an
emergency, we will contact you. Please do not attempt
to break the rules! It only causes for embarrassment
when you are denied access. We will have hired help
watching entrances to and from backstage to prevent
some of the problems we had with parents in years
past.
*If you sign up to be a parent helper at
the recital then you DO NOT need to
purchase a ticket for that show. You will
be watching from backstage so you do not
need one.
Below are final dates and times for recital week. Every
dancer will have 1 dress rehearsal time, 1 show during
the week and 1 show on the weekend. We REALLY
tried hard to accommodate all special requests. If
these times do no work for you please contact your
teacher. Thanks!

-Dancers are to report to Rapid Run Middle School 30
minutes prior to showtime in FULL costume.
-REMEMBER to bring your dance bag with both shoes. Make
sure EVERYTHING you bring with you is clearly marked with
your name, including your shoes!
-Please report to your “COLORED” table when you get there.
Dismissal will take place from these tables as well. For your
reference, we will hold up a colored balloon matching your
child’s table color so you know it is time for her dismissal. We
ask that ONLY ONE adult come and get your dancer from
back stage. There will be helpers physically handing your
daughter over to you to make sure each child only leaves
with an adult. We ask that all others in your party stand on
the OPPOSITE side of the Commons area away from all the

congestion. Since there are multiple shows on each day,
we politely ask you to exit the building as soon as possible!
-No food and only sippy cups/bottles of water are permitted
to be sent with each dancer.
-You may videotape the performance if you wish. Please be
courteous of others around you trying to watch.
-We have hired a professional videographer for those of
you who wish to make a purchase and not worry about
the hassle of taping the show (recording includes BOTH
Thursday shows for Miss Shannon and Miss Emily). We
will send out an order form for you to fill out and bring to
DRESS REHEARSAL or the RECITAL. When turning in
orders, you will be required to address an envelope so the
DVD can be mailed to you ASAP. We foresee mailing these
by the end of May. The cost of the DVD is $24.
-Water and Flowers will be available for purchase before and
after each show. Show your dancer how special she is and
say BRAVA with flowers!

by the Parent Helpers to their assigned tables. Please
remember to wear a colored T-shirt that matches your
table color! Do NOT wear you costume to dress rehearsal! For the recital, please report directly to your
assigned table in full costume.

We know this is a lot of information, especially for
those of you who are new to Gotta Dance. If you have
any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. It
may seem confusing, but it all runs rather smoothly
once we are there!
*FYI...MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW! Once
again we will be offering a Summer Dance Camp from
June 22-26th!!! The theme will be “Annie!”. All times
will be in the morning and will be held at Mercy High
School again! We have emailed the form with all of the
specifics.
