Foundations had a great time at the
buddy picnic. It was great to meet the
parents/guardians and to get to know
them.
Congratulations to Olivia Tolliday, who
made it through to the Regions Final in
backstroke on Friday.
Well done on a great effort against Croydon Hills last week for Interschool Sport.

Last week on Thursday the Year 5/6’s
started rotations. They all had a great
time and are excited to keep doing it
throughout the year. The rotations are:

We have been invited to take part in the
Heathmont College Science Challenge
on Tuesday 24 March from 9:00am to
10:15am. The team, which has yet to be
chosen, will consist of two year 5 students and two Year 6 students, who
have an interest in Science. Morning tea
will be provided by Heathmont College.
Parents will be required to transport
their own children to and from the
Science Challenge.
Science At The Speed Of Light
The Australian Synchrotron accelerates
electrons around a circle the size of the
MCG at nearly the speed of light to
create a light beam one million times
brighter than the sun. This light is used
to examine a wide range of matter from
our food to famous paintings and even
the flu virus. On Monday 30 March from
2pm – 4pm the Australian Synchrotron
will be inviting the public to take part in
free fun talks and a tour of the synchrotron. Children must be accompanied by
