We need 300 members to make an annual
payment of £10
THE RULES

The name of the Club shall be the HCFWI 300 CLUB and it shall be organised as a function of the
Board of Trustees who shall appoint a promoter. The promoter, together with the Federation
Treasurer and Company Secretary, shall be responsible for the accounts of the Club. Members of
the Club will be entitled to inspect the books of the Club with reasonable prior notice being given.

The payment per share is £10.00 this year.

Each member will be allocated a membership number which will be entered for each monthly draw.

The Committee holds the right not to hold the draw pending the acceptance of 300 members.

Providing the membership of the Club consists of 300, the holder of each share will be entitled to
participate in the following draw:a) A draw for main prizes; to be drawn at the March 2015 Spring Council Meeting.
b) A draw for THREE prizes of £25 (twenty five pounds) each month commencing July 2015 to be
drawn monthly at the Board of Trustees Meetings. Prizes will be paid only to members who have
abided by the rules of the 300 Club.

It is permissible for members to share payment but only one name can be accepted for registration and
the sharing of any prize money is the responsibility of the registered member and not the Board of
Trustees.

The net surplus of the 300 Club shall be paid into the general funds of the HCFWI. The 300 Club can
be wound up at the end of the year upon the decision of the HCFWI Board of Trustees.

The result of the monthly draw and the names of the winners of the yearly prizes drawn in March will be
published in the Federation Magazine. A list of prize winners will also be displayed at WI House each
month.

In the event that fewer than 300 people apply, the prizes will be altered accordingly. In 201415
we were a 200 Club, with 2 prizes per month and a smaller amount for prizes at the Spring
Council Meeting.

Dear Member
Are you in the 300 Club? We are offering every member, WI and Group the opportunity of
purchasing a share in our 2015/2016 Club which begins in July (closing date 12 June 2015).
Your £10 per year share now gives you the chance to win one of the THREE £25 monthly prizes and
an annual extra chance to win much larger prizes drawn at the Spring Council Meeting each year.
Shares are only available for individual members or syndicates and must not be paid for out of WI
funds. Put £10 aside from a coffee morning or similar event and enter, with any prize going to the WI.
You must show the name of an individual on the form.
Or why not get together with nine other members and hold a joint personal share for £1 each? (just
one name on the application form please).
Or individual members can send in £10 in the hope of getting a good return and the knowledge that
they will be helping the Federation.
Complete the attached application form and return it to WI House before 12 June enclosing a
cheque made payable to ‘HCFWI’.
