Dear Parents and Guardians:
As I am writing this letter, we have completed the
PARCC testing and we are anticipating our Spring
Break. It seems hard to believe how quickly this
school year is flying by. The excitement of spring
is in the air!
Third quarter marking period ends on Wednesday,
April 1st. Report cards will be issued on Thursday,
April 23rd. Please take a moment to peruse the report card and to discuss it with your child. We all
will have to work hard to keep students motivated
and engaged in schoolwork during the last quarter,
especially as the weather calls us outside.
We will be asking you to complete a survey which will be coming home with the report cards. Please
complete and send back with your student when he/she returns the signed report card envelope.
We take your comments seriously and use the results to improve our program. Thank you for taking the time to complete the form.
Also, to the attention of eighth grade parents, and according to the BCPS Pupil Services Procedure
PS 515, all students transitioning from grade 5 to 6 and grade 8 to 9 will be required to verify residency prior to the start of the 2015-2016 school year. Our parents of eighth grade students will be receiving letters this month explaining the process. A reminder has also been placed
in this newsletter.
Sincerely,
Catherine P. Walrod
Principal
