Eco Team – meeting today at high noon in room #217.

Art Students - who have had work recently come down from display, please pick up ASAP from
Mr. Senner, BEFORE exam week.

Highland’s World Cup Games – Cameroon vs. Canada and Jamaica vs. Ghana. Be ready to go at noon
today.

Congratulations to the Highland Track Athletes – Tiana Steart, Mac Christison, Cammy Christison,
Lizzie Gummer, Helaina Baker, Alecia Miro) who participated in the BC Provincial Track Championships
in Langley last weekend. Your effort, behavior, and team camaraderie were outstanding. Special
congratulations to Lizzie Gummer, who placed 2nd in the 400 meters and 6th in the 200 meter sprints. Chloe
Gummer placed 4th in the 400 meter hurdles.
The Highland track team has been increasing in size and is now outperforming both Vanier and Isfeld
schools  Keep up the great work Highland. Next year looks like a great year also, with many great results
coming from the grade 9s who will be eligible for the provincials next year.

Italy Exchange Students – meeting in room #203 on Thursday at lunch. All students going on this trip
must attend. The other students who have expressed an interest in joining the exchange can also attend.


Girls’ Community Soccer – Are you interested in playing youth rep soccer with Comox Valley United
Soccer Club Tier III Select? Players must register on-line by Wednesday, June 10. Tryouts will be held on
June 11 & 18, at Huband elementary, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Registration link is

the registration link. Multi birth dates are available in the following divisions: U14/U15/U15/U17/U18 Tier
III (birthdates 2002 through 1998).
WORK EXPERIENCE

St. Joseph’s Hospital – if you are interested in volunteering at the hospital for the junior volunteer program
during the summer, please pick up an application in the WEX office.
