Atlantic Holstein Promotions and the 2015 National Holstein Convention Committee would
like to invite Quebec and Ontario Exhibitors to participate in the upcoming National Spring
Showcase on April 10, 2015 in Fredericton, N.B. Our judge for the day will be Nathan
Thomas of Triple T Holsteins, North Lewisburg, OH.
To register, please visit www.assistexpo.ca/ahp. A special early bird rate of $35 per head
applies until April 3. Otherwise, the entry fee is $50 per head.
To make your visit as easy as possible, Atlantic Holstein Promotions has arranged the
following suppliers:

Please pre-order by contacting them directly.
Animals will be allowed to move in Monday, April 6 and must be on site Wednesday, April 8
by 6 p.m. Animals may leave any time following the conclusion of the show. (No trailer
movement while the show is in progress.) All animals must leave the grounds by noon on
Saturday, April 11.
Exhibitors Meeting: Wednesday, April 8, at 6 p.m. in the barn.
We will be having a Provincial Herd Class with the following requirements:
 8 head
 All bred in the province
 No more than 3 head from any one exhibitor
 5 cows and 3 heifers
We encourage you to select one person to organize this group to have them ringside when
the class starts.
Rules:
1) This is an open show.
2) All exhibitors and fitters will be required to sign the Holstein Canada “Standard
Agreement Between Owners and Fitters for Holstein Shows” and the “Standard
Exhibitor’s Agreement”. As a national show, Holstein Canada will provide its
monitoring service.
3) All exhibits must be registered in the name of the exhibitor and of at least 75%
purebred inheritance.
4) There is no restriction on the number of animals per exhibitor.
5) Animals must be properly ear-tagged to correspond with registration certificate and
to meet CFIA requirements.
6) Each exhibitor shall hold the show management blameless for any loss or accident.
It shall also be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall be responsible for any
injury or damage that may be occasioned to any person or thing.
7) Exhibitors must provide a copy of their liability insurance policy. This may be
emailed to [email protected] prior to the show.
8) Breeders Herd and Junior Breeders Herd, 3 animals of the same prefix, 1 of which
must be owned by the breeder.
9) Milk will become the property of Atlantic Holstein Promotions upon use of the
portable milking system.
10) Exhibitors are responsible for all bedding.
11) Premier Breeder and Exhibitor points will be calculated on the point system used by
Atlantic Holstein Promotions. (Best 8 animals for Premier Breeder and Exhibitor,
best six for Junior banners.)
12) Entry fees must be paid in full before entering the ring. If you do not pay online,
please have a cheque available.
Tickets for all Convention events are available online at events.holstein.ca.
The EastGen ‘Grand’ Kitchen Party (dinner and dance) will be held after the show on Friday
night. Be sure to get your tickets online if you want to attend.
Please book hotel rooms early. A block of rooms has been booked in Fredericton at: Best
