Waimea College Fair on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at the
Waimea Town Hall and Kahilu Theater. For more information, please see Mrs. Fujioka, P-5,

Compass Placement Test will be administered at HHIS on Wed. Apr. 15th at 8:00
am in the library. (Seniors attending any UH systems community college and students taking
English- 100 must take the CCC. 1st test is “free”. Please see Mrs. Richards in the CCC.)
*Hawaii Saddle Club Scholarship- Deadline to apply is Wed. Apr. 15th.
*David S. Ishii/Yasuko Asada Memorial College Scholarship Fund deadline is
Wed. Apr. 15th.
*Hamakua Lions Club Scholarship- Deadline to apply is Apr. 17th.
*The Big Island Press Scholarship Application deadline is Sat. Apr. 18th.
*Kamehameha School Scholarship Na Ho’okama A Pauahi – deadline to apply
is Mon. Apr. 20th.
Students who are planning to take Fall 2015 English 100. Applications and
required forms (MMR/TB, CPT scores, etc.) are due no later than Fri. Apr. 24th
to Mrs. Fujioka, P-5 or Mrs. Richards, CCC.

New Scholarship
Hawaii Community College Scholarship-Any senior that has been accepted to HawCC.
Deadline to apply is April 30th. Applications are due to Ms. Richards, CCC.
Other Scholarships *HLP Hamakua Community Foundation- is awarding (4) $2,000 scholarships. Students must
live in the Hamakua District (Kukaiau to Honokaia) Deadline to apply is Fri. Apr. 10th.
*The Kirby Cabrera Scholarship- Submit by Apr. 10th.
*American Association of University Women Deadline is Apr. 13th.
*Hawaii Saddle Club- is proud to offer $500 and $1,000 scholarship to graduating seniors
going on to an accredited college or university. Deadline to apply is Apr. 15th.
*The Rotary Club of Kona Mauka-is offering several scholarship to seniors planning to attend any
university, community college, vocational , technology institute, or professional school. Completed
application must be returned to Mrs. Fujioka, P-5 or Ms. Richards, CCC. Deadline to apply is
April 20th.
*Monsanto Hawaii Agricultural Scholarship Pursuing a career in agriculture. Deadline to
apply is May 1st.
Seniors -Final Transcript Request Forms are available in the CCC. Your Final Transcripts will
to be sent to the college or university you are planning to attend in the Fall of 2015. For more
information, please see Ms. Fujioka, P-5 or Ms. Richards, CCC.
Seniors if you have received any scholarship awards please bring a copy of your award letter to
Mrs. Fujioka, P-5 or Ms. Richards in the CCC.
Apply Now for Summer 2015…….
* Summer Camp in Japan at the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University –June 14-June 21, 2015.
APU Academic and Cultural Experience (ACE) for high school students. Study Japanese
language and Asian culture under the tutelage of APU faculty. Experience Japanese hospitality
through a 2 night home stay program in rural Oita. For more details, Visit

*Math Boot Camp Summer 2015 - Grades 9th -12th. Success with Math is a Free Boot Camp
designed to refresh your Math skill and improve your Math Compass Placement Test scores.
1st session will be held on June 15-19, 2015 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Kealakehe High School,
2nd session starts on July 13-17, 2015 at Konawaena High School from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Students who complete this program will be eligible to retake the Math Compass Placement Test
