With a name taken from the highly venomous species of Jellyfish, IRUKANDJI are exploding out of
Brisbane as a dark horse of the metal community. From opening slots to the graveyard shift, fans
come out of the woodwork to support and be entertained.
The music features an energetic and explosive approach to the metal genre and appeals to fans
and media professionals alike. The stage shows are fast-paced and thrive from the response in the
audience.
IRUKANDJI mix influences such as Rage Against the Machine, Lamb of God, Protest the Hero, The
Human Abstract, Unearth and Pantera as well as many other local comrades from the potent and
skilled community of Australian music.
Formed in 2009 and having just released their latest EP Snake Oil Irukandji are looking to push out a
good time with some good grooves into 2015.
