Our Charity Challenge tickets on Tuesday, April 14th are selling well. There are still
some left, so get yours today! Your $15 ticket will include your bingo cards for the
evening bingo session; a dabber; $5 coupon for a future visit; $5 TapTix coupon; and
a $10 credit to play our exciting new game Turbo Challenge!
The Charity with the most players in attendance will win $1,000! 2nd place is $750
and 3rd place wins $500. This money is for your group’s general account and does
NOT fall under the Use of Proceeds requirement! So tell all your members,
volunteers, supporters, friends, family; anyone over the age of 18 to buy a ticket and
join the fun.
Tickets are $15 and must be prepaid by Friday, April 10th.
The Citiots Do Bingo!
Delta Gaming Centre has added entertainment bingo to their repertoire! On Tuesday,
April 28th the Improv Comedy Troupe “The Citiots” are coming to Bingo!
Cocktails/mocktails at 6:00pm in the lounge area and bingo begins at 7:15pm. Your
$15 ticket will get you the bingo package for the night, a dabber, free mocktails, and
a $5 coupon for a future visit.

Please note that our Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday, June 28th at the
Lion’s Centre on Burnham St. starting at 1:30pm. Every group must have at least
one representative in attendance. If you have anything to add to the agenda, please
let Suzanne Davidson know as soon as possible.

May 8 & 9, 2015 The Annual MS Carnation Campaign is taking place at a variety of locations within the
City and County of Peterborough. We are seeking volunteers for 2 hour shifts, as well, drivers to pick up and

4th Line Theatre
Our upcoming Artist Talk features 4th Line Theatre’s Managing Artistic Director Kim Blackwell in
conversation with Alex Poch-Goldin, playwright of The Bad Luck Bank Robbers. This public event will take
place at the Peterborough Museum and Archives at 2:00pm on April 12th.
4th Line Theatre will be holding community reminiscence for a new play in development with Alex PochGoldin about the film industry in Trenton Ontario in the early part of the 20th Century. If you have any
stories, information or anecdotes you’d like to pass on. Or if you just want to hear people talk about a
fascinating chapter of Ontario’s history, we encourage you to attend this event at the Trenton Town Hall
Heritage and Cultural Centre on 55 King Street in Trenton, Ontario at 2:00pm on April 19th.
Rotary Club of Peterborough Kawartha
The “Adventure in Understanding” is a six day trip by voyageur canoe covering approximately 100 KM on
the Trent Severn Waterway, from Peterborough to Curve Lake First Nation. The co-ed program was
designed for First Nations and non-native youth, 16 to 18 years of age, who are proud of their cultural
heritage and motivated to both learn and share their cultural identity. The program will run the last week of
August 2015 (Sunday, August 30th to Friday, September 4th). For more applications and information contact

Elizabeth Fry
Rebel With a Cause: Honouring Linda Slavin. On Thurs. April 23rd from 7:00 – 9:30pm, Elizabeth Fry is
hosting a very exciting event to honour Linda for her contribution to the Society and the larger Peterborough
community. Taking place at The Rugby Club in Nichols Oval, there will be music, poetry, a tribute to Linda,
light appetizers, and a silent auction. Tickets are $50.00 and are available from the Elizabeth Fry Society and

Adoption Weekend at Paulmac’s April 18th, 1550 Lansdowne St W & April 19th, 753 Lansdowne St. (beside
Bulk Barn). Dogs and Cats will be there.
April 19th, Morello’s Independent Grocer is having their annual Bowlathon (10 pin) and all proceeds are
going to PHS. Please call PHS 705-745-4722 ex. 205 if you are interested in putting a team together.
Peterborough Suzuki School of Music
This spring is bursting with piano performance! Once again a large number of Peterborough Suzuki School
students showed off their skills for the community while performing in the 69th Peterborough Kiwanis Music
Festival (http://peterborough.kiwanismusicfestival.com). Their performance skills got a boost from clinician
Lisa Iwasaki at our annual Master Class for students.
