Sir Robert, or “Bob”, as he preferred to be called, was initiated into the order on October 4, 1956, at Lodge 143 in Colville, WA. He rapidly rose in the order, attaining the rank of Knight on November 17, 1956. In the spring of 2001 Bob achieved the honor of Golden Spur.
