Jennie celebrated her 100th birthday on March 10th with both
her immediate and Pythian families. Many generations
gathered to mark the special occasion, which included a
lovely cake in our Pythian dining room provided by Addus
Homecare, a card signed by our residents and staff, and Sees
chocolates. Jennie has been a resident in our retirement
community since 2008. Her beautiful smile and indomitable
spirit are well-know and treasured. We wish you many more
years of happiness and blessings, Jennie! We are honored
that you chose to be a part of our Pythian family!

In addition to the many services he provided to both the community and
the fraternity, Bob was a resident of Knights of Pythias Retirement Center
since 1996. He was well- known for his compassion, sense of humor, and
integrity. Bob will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched. Bob is
survived by a daughter, Kevyn and a son-in-law, Curtis. God’s peace, Bob!

We would like to pause a moment to remember and
honor Sir Robert Morgan, who passed away on March
18, 2015, after a short illness. Sir Robert, or “Bob”, as
he preferred to be called, was initiated into the order on October 4, 1956, at
Lodge 143 in Colville, WA. He rapidly rose in the order, attaining the rank
of Knight on November 17, 1956. In the spring of 2001 Bob achieved the
honor of Golden Spur. Golden Spur is the highest award and honor that
can be conferred on a member. It is given for outstanding service to the
fraternity and community. A few of the many services that Bob provided
included: Gathering food donations from various resources and providing
them to local organizations such as FISH Vancouver, YWCA, and
Sharehouse; working closely with Volunteer Connections, and ministering
to residents in need at our retirement community. Bob also served in many
positions as a Knight including: Grand Chancellor, Grand Treasurer, and
President of the Board of Directors of Knights of Pythias.
