EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Introduction
Arts Council Malta is excited to present the tenth edition of Malta’s largest outdoor festival. This
year’s Notte Bianca will be held on Saturday, 3rd October.
The Notte Bianca team would like to invite interested parties to submit expressions of interest to be
considered for the 2015 programme. Expressions of interest should be delivered by hand and
addressed to Notte Bianca, Arts Council Malta, ‘Casa Scaglia’ 16, Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street, Valletta
by not later than Tuesday, 12th May at noon. Further information may be obtained by email on
[email protected]. Late proposals will not be accepted. The applicants will be notified with
decisions related to their participation by Friday, 12th June 2015.
A meeting for all interested participants will be held on Tuesday, 21st April at 18.00 at the Maryanski
Porch, Phoenicia Hotel, Valletta.
Artistic Vision
Following the success of recent years, we are now excited to be preparing for the tenth anniversary
of Valletta’s largest cultural event. What a decade it has been!
Notte Bianca fuelled Valletta’s cultural regeneration and paved the way for a myriad of other local
festivals around the island. Today, we are proud to be heading such a platform for artists, craftsmen,
communities and many others. With Valletta 2018 on the horizon, our promotion of cultural
cooperation is ever growing, our quality of experience increasing and our goals are getting higher.
The programme will maintain its much-loved variety with satellite events featured separately from
the official programme. Projects will again include collaborations, commissions and co-productions
with a variety of stakeholders and entities. We will keep focusing on multidisciplinary, participatory
arts and collaborations, with home-grown community arts, traditions and crafts.
Through this expression of interest, we want to learn about interesting projects. If these fit within our
artistic vision, we will be setting up meetings to listen to your concepts and work hand in hand to
develop them. This application is a means to express your interest to participate in the event.
