The best shots over Lisbon
Lisbon has a beautiful light and in sunny days the landscape is
clear and sharp. Bring your camera and come to see Lisbon
from the south bank of the Tagus river. Visit the Cristo Rei
shrine's belvedere and its stunning views, explore the 25 km
long coast line stretching from the Tagus river mouth to Cape
Espichel, from a fossil cliff over Fonte da Telha beach.
On the return, have a meal by the river, watching the old
Lisbon across the waters, and then take the “cacilheiro” boat
back to Lisbon. The trip ends at your hotel.

Ecological Park?
The day trip begins with a visit to the 17th century palace of
Marquis of Fronteira and its garden, both famous for their
glazed tiles (azulejos) collection depicting scenes from the
Portuguese independence war.
The trip finishes with a visit to the Ajuda National Palace,
which was the residence of the last Portuguese monarchs, and
was built to replace the royal wooden tent used by the King
after the 1755 earthquake.
In between these two places, the day trip includes a visit to
the Monsanto Ecological Park. Many surprises wait for you in
this wonderful natural environment. This is a great opportunity
for a stroll in the forest and a relaxed picnic.

baroque palace - The Queluz National Palace.
Built during the reign of King D.José I, thanks to the trade of
diamonds and precious metals from Brazil, the palace is a
mirror of the Baroque society of the 1700s.
The palace is a striking image of an Age dominated by
theatricality, appearances and the need for large spaces.
The gardens were the splendorous venues for the royal
family parties. Returning to Lisbon, we’ll cross the Monsanto
Forest Park to get an overview of the “green lung of Lisbon”
and take a few panoramic pictures or optionaly visit the
Ajuda Botanic Garden.

hit violently the rocks. Visit Cascais and return to Lisbon always
