PRAYER FOR STUDENTS: Let us pray for all students undergoing examinations.
May they work but not worry, organise their studies sensibly, make the sacrifices they
need to make, take care to eat, exercise and sleep. Then, pray that they may succeed in
order to find that place in life which God has committed to them. Their part in the
rebuilding of creation with Christ through whom we ask for all they need. Amen.
LADIES GROUP: Thurs 14th May at 7.30 pm in St Mary’s Greencastle Pastoral Centre Jewellery demonstration by Maryanna’s Jewellery. Make your own necklace, earrings or
bracelet. Admission £5 (including light supper and the piece of jewellery you make).
Thurs 11th June at 7.30 pm in St Mary’s Greencastle Pastoral Centre – Mrs Tracey Beare
from Hazelwood Integrated College who is a member of the Titanic Committee will give a
short talk on the Titanic and the aftermath that followed (including artifacts). We are sure
that many of you will be interested in listening to her. Admission £3 (including light
supper). Come and join us on those dates.
ST JAMES SVP WHITEABBEY: Annual summer outing for senior citizens on Sat 30th May to
Cookstown. Those parishioners, who wish to attend, please put your names on the sheet
in the Church Porch.
ST MARY’S SVP GREENCASTLE: are having their summer bus trip on Sat 20th June 2015
to Omeath and Newry. Cost - £10. Those wishing to go can leave their name in the
Church porch. Bus leaves from outside St Mary’s Greencastle Chapel at 10.30am.
FUNDRAISING FOR ROMANIA: Niamh O’Hara and Conor Taggart will be having a collection
throughout the parish this weekend (2nd/3rd May) for volunteering this summer in
Romania. There will also be a coffee morning after 10.30am Mass in Whitehouse. Any
support would be greatly appreciated.
ORDINATIONS: Parishioners are asked to pray for Rev Andrew Black who will be ordained
on Sun 3rd May 2015 and Rev Conor McCarthy who will be ordained on Sun 28 th June
2015. Please keep them in your prayers.
MUSIC AT MASS: Can you play a musical instrument? Do you enjoy singing? Or do you
know anyone who does? We are looking for singers and musicians to enhance the liturgy

DOWN AND CONNOR MARYVALE ASSOCIATION: invite you to a training day in the Anchor
Catechetical programme taking place on Saturday 9th May 2015, Tobar Mhuire Retreat
Centre, Crossgar. There are still places available. This course is especially suited to
anyone involved in their parish including Ministers of the Word, Sacramental Preparation,
Special Eucharistic Ministers or anyone who would like to understand the methodology of

DIOCESAN LITURGY SEMINAR: The Annual Diocesan Liturgy Seminar entitled ‘Closer to
Christ in the Eucharist’ will be held on Sat 9th May from 1pm – 4.30pm in St Brigid’s
Parish Hall, 38 Derryvolgie Avenue, Belfast BT9 6FP. It will be presented by Brother
Pat Mullins O.Carm. The Seminar is open to all and will be especially interesting to
Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion who assist with the distribution of Holy
Communion at Sunday and weekday Mass and who bring Holy Communion to the sick
