Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC), a Tony Award-winning nonprofit theatre, seeks a Director of
Institutional Giving, a key position in MTC’s Development Department. Reporting to the
Director of Development, this individual oversees MTC’s fundraising effort from corporate,
foundation and government sources.
The Director of Institutional Giving is a key position in MTC’s Development Department. This
position oversees MTC’s fundraising effort from corporate, foundation and government
sources.
Job Responsibilities:






Leads the development and implementation of fundraising strategy in the areas of
corporate, foundation and government funding.
Cultivates and solicits funding through compelling and comprehensive sponsorship
and grant proposals and presentations.
Identify and researches prospects and develops new approaches to raising support.
Serves as liaison to MTC’s Education, Business and Artistic Development departments
in the creation of integrated materials.
Oversees the production of the company’s annual report.
Supervises team of two.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years development experience. Must have a proven track
record of institutional fundraising success, encompassing corporate sponsorship, foundation
and government relations.

This is a full time, salaried position with full benefits package including: choice between 2
