Beyond Beauty Paris, the exhibition for expert skincare
Paris, 16th April 2015 – As well as heralding the creation of perfume and its
master perfumers, a theme that will be carefully highlighted throughout the
exhibition, Beyond Beauty Paris will be focused on the skincare sector,
playing host to several related activities in the presence of experts, renowned
brands and exhibitors at the forefront of innovation.
2015: the year of skincare expertise for Beyond Beauty Paris
Skincare is a key sector of the cosmetics world, and for this reason it will be
one of the focal points of the show. The stakes are high, intensified by market
competition. Focusing on recent figures from a global leader brand, it is easy
to see that two divisions in particular are outperforming the market. In the
words of John Paul Agon, CEO of L'Oréal, “As we thought and announced, in
the fourth quarter of 2014 L'Oréal recorded its largest increase of the year. In
a volatile economic context and an even less lively market, the Group saw
growth across all divisions and geographic zones. L'Oréal Luxe and the Active
Cosmetics Division confirmed pleasing progress and significantly
outperformed their market.” The latter is most profitable of all at 22.7%, in
constant growth.
From these figures and analysis, it is obvious that the future of skincare is in
expertise and dermo-cosmetics and even prescriptions. This theme will take
the form of a conference debate (2h30min) on Tuesday 15th September at the
show:
“Does the future of skincare lie in prescriptions?”
Tuesday 15th September 2015 - Round Table Conference (2h30min)
When science meets aesthetics... The active cosmetics market is moving towards an
important focus on efficacy and safety, as well as the need for expert care and
advice for both preventive and curative action.
The Beyond Beauty Talks
In the presence of dermatologists and cosmetic brands (Jean-Michel Karam CEO of Yoma, Fédérique Morizot - Director of Skin Knowledge & Beauty at
Chanel...) (Pr Humbert, Dr. Lafforgue), The future of skincare will be
discussed and enriched by a discussion with participants. Perfect skin has
become a global beauty marker, colour is only there to hone and refine. The
boundaries between skincare and make-up fuse together, make-up becomes
skincare, colours become materials, and this can be texturised; the borders
between the two are merging. This session will be interactive, as well as
constructive to explore as many ideas and angles as possible.
“Are beauty devices changing the rules in Skincare?”- Wednesday, 16th
September - Conference (1h30min)
This subject will be tackled from three angles - market trends, regulation and
consumer expectations - in the presence of Skinaid, a company represented by
