MASBBM Announces 2015 Election Results New Officers Took Th eir Seats at Annual Spring Conference in Columbia, MD, on April 25, 2015 President Lilian Rosenbaum, LCSWC, PhD, the new President of MASBBM, will assume her new th role on Saturday, April 25 , at the Society's annual spring conference at Loyola University Graduate Center in Columbia, MD. Dr. Rosenbaum has served as the Presidentelect for 20142015. She has been a member of MASBBM since the late 1960's. She established the first biofeedback clinical and training program nationally at Georgetown University Medical School in the early 1970's. Lilian chaired AAPB's national meeting in Washington, DC, in 1990. She has been in clinical practice since 1968 and Clinical Associate Professor in Georgetown's Department of Psychiatry from 1970 to the present. Says Rosenbaum, "It is a great honor to accept the position of President of MASBBM. I plan to remain focused, realistic, challenged and optimistic. I am looking forward to collaborating with Jay Dickinson, our new president elect, and gaining from his experience as past president of the Pennsylvania Biofeedback Society." PresidentElect The new PresidentElect is Jay Dickinson, MA, LPC, NCC, who has a Masters degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology. He is also an Associate Fellow of the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance and a past president of the former Pennsylvania Biofeedback Society. Jay will serve as PresidentElect for 20152016, at which time he will become the president. Says Dickinson, "I am honored to be selected by the MASSBBM membership as their new President Elect. MASSBBM is a very well run organization as evidenced by a dedicated board, and amazing Executive Director, Bea Haskins, and an enthusiastic membership," says Dickinson. "I look forward to 'learning the ropes' from our new President, Dr. Lilian Rosenbaum, past President Dr. Mike Sitar and the wealth of experience from past and present board members." Reelected to new oneyear terms as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively, are Anne Arena, MA, CAS, and Bonnie Sobel, RN, LCSW. Ms. Arena is a Maryland certified school psychologist with a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Psychology from Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Ms. Sobel has a private practice of psychotherapy and biofeedback in Falls Church, VA. She was President of MASBBM in 2011 and Secretary for many years. Katherine Thorn, LPC, was elected to a new threeyear term as an atlarge board member, having previously served in that role for oneyear, filling out a vacated seat. Michel A. Sitar, PhD, becomes the Past President of MASBBM, having served in that role for three years, though terms are usually just one year. Continuing atlarge board members are Frances Stewart, MD; Deborah Stokes, PhD; and Jessica Eure, LPC. Continuing as Advisory (nonvoting) Board members are four past presidents, Elsie Ferguson, Bill Decker, Russ Hibler, Manuel Morales and past treasurer, Mary Lee Esty.
