Easter
Easter is the greatest feast in the Christian
calendar. On Easter Sunday we celebrate
the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead. Easter Sunday comes at the end of 40
days of prayer, fasting and almsgiving
known as Lent. We have prepared to die
spiritually with Christ on Good Friday so
that we can rise again with him in new life
on Easter Sunday.
Fr. John Ferris P.P.
Fr. Charles & Fr. Emmanuel and the
Parish Pastoral Council would like to wish
all Parishioners a
Very Happy Easter.
Congratulations to the boys and girls from
Scoil Naithí who celebrated their first Holy
Communion last Saturday.
The roster for Eucharistic Ministers for
all Easter week Masses now posted at
the Church porches. There will be a
rehearsal meeting for the ministers on
Wednesday evening next April 1st at
8.30pm led by Annette Finn.
The Sunshine Fund of the Society of St.
Vincent de Paul is holding its annual
collection outside the Oratory this
weekend. Each year, the Sunshine Fund
provides much-needed sea-side holidays
for approximately 1,000 of Dublin’s less
fortunate children. The advocate
collection is the only way the Sunshine
Fund can finance these holidays. Please
collect an Advocate Paper on your way
out of the Oratory in support of these
much needed holidays.
