Reflection
Adults: Jesus is Risen! Alleluia! Give praise and honor to
our risen Christ! Let us give thanks to God the Father for raising Jesus up to new life! Jesus lives in each of us. This holy
day and holy season of Easter, how will we spread Easter joy
by the way we treat every person we meet?
Children: Give praise to Jesus. He is risen! He is your good
friend. At Mass you will renew your baptismal promises.
You belong to Jesus. Be extra nice to someone today. Spread
Easter joy.

RESPECT LIFE…
—The weekend to return your baby bottle filled with pocket
change for the four Life Centers on Long Island has passed.
This year, we have experienced a great reduction in the number of bottles returned on time. If you have neglected to return
your bottle, it is not too late! There will be a white crate
placed at each door to the church for the next two weekends.
In addition, you may turn your bottle, during business hours, to
the Rectory, the School, Religious Ed., and Parish Social Ministry Office. Please be mindful of the fact that the Life Centers
lose $1 for each unreturned bottle. Over the years, the parishioners of Our Lady of Peace have been generous in supporting
the work of the Life Center, a pregnancy care center with four
locations (Deer Park, Hempstead, Massapequa & Riverhead).
We thank you for your donations of baby clothes, diapers, and
infant formula. However, there remains a number of mothers
and babies needing assistance, counseling and help, especially
in these tough economic times. With our staff of volunteers,
we are ready and willing to meet these needs with compassionate hearts and unconditional love, but we need your help to
ensure that we have the resources to continue to provide the
level of service necessary. The Life Center is supported entirely by charitable gifts from you; our baby bottle drive is the
largest fund-raiser. Also, and most importantly, please pray
often for God’s blessing on the mission of the Life Centers,
and on the precious women, men and children we serve.
Thank You!

TIME, TALENT & TREASURE
This Week’s Stewardship of Time and Talent
In gratitude for God’s gifts of time and talent to use, we gratefully salute our RCIA Team.
This spring, couples that have been married
fifty years or more will be honored at liturgies on Sunday, April 19th at the Church of St. Lawrence the Martyr
in Sayville and on Sunday, April 26th at the Church of Maria Regina
in Seaford. Both liturgies will begin at 2:30PM. Couples may register for ONE liturgy. Registration forms and complete instructions
can be obtained at Our Lady of Peace Rectory. Registration must be
received by the Office of Worship a few weeks before the liturgies,
therefore please complete the form and return it to our Rectory by
April 1st if you are going to the April 19th liturgy and by April
7th for the April 26th liturgy. There will be additional celebrations
in the fall for those who may find that more convenient. If you have
any questions you may call (516) 678-5800, Ext. 207.
