Dear Fathers and Sons, The relationship between a father and his son is one of the primary and most critical relationships that a man will have, particularly in the teenage years. The impact that our fathers have on us and we as fathers have on our sons is profound. It will always be defining. Every young man needs to hear and believe that he is good enough in his father’s eyes. Every boy wants his father to give him a sense of male acceptance, affirmation and affection. For a boy to become a man and to gain an understanding of masculinity he needs the guidance of other men and none more so than his father. The Growing Good Men weekend offers fathers and their sons the time and opportunity to discuss these issues and make plans for the way ahead.
