EE202 Circuit Theory II
Laboratory 1
In this experiment s-domain circuit analysis, transfer function of a passive filter and an oscillator circuit
will be investigated. All the theory needed for the analysis can be found in the lecture notes.
Preliminary Work
1. Analyze the circuit given in Figure 1 in s-domain. Assume that it is in zero-state.
Then, find s-domain expression of Vo when Vi is given as Vi = (t).

3. Obtain the waveforms of Vi and Vo by connecting two-channel oscilloscope to the
circuit given in Figure 2.
Experimental Work
1. Set up the circuit given in Figure 2, and obtain the waveforms of Vi and Vo.
2. Repeat the first part with different capacitors and inductor. Then, observe the change
on the waveforms of Vi and Vo.
Conclusions and Comments
1. Explain how the circuit provides sinusoidal waveforms.
2. Give some applications that the circuit can be used.
