Dancing flower
Project Background :
The circuit is taken from dancing flower. A motor at the base of the flower had a shaft up the
stem and when the microphone detected music, the bent shaft made the flower wiggle and
move. The circuit will respond to a whistle, music or noise.
Project Description :
It is required to design and implement a dancing flower circuit as shown in figure 1,with a motor
respond to sounds from mic only.
Students will be divided into groups of THREE students.Each group shall accomplish the
following tasks :
1- Hardware Implementation for the circuit.
2- Detailed Report including the theory of operation (DC and AC Analysis and determine
transistor operating point),your work and results.
3- Group Evaluation

Important Deadlines :
 28 March 2015 :
Group names should be submitted to your TA latest by this date. Each group will be
assigned a group number on their submission of the list of names.
 18 April 2015 :
Group evaluations will be held on this day according to a group schedule which will be
announced according to your list of groups. The project report should be submitted on the
same day.The Circuit must be working.
