Mary, Mother of the Church serves free community
meals every Thursday night from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m. in the
Mary Center. Everyone is invited to enjoy a free meal at
Meals at Mary Mother year round.
We started serving in January of 2014 and on average
we are serving 130 meals per week. Volunteers cook
and serve the majority of the meals, but sponsors are
also being invited to join in this effort.
New guests arrive every week and many return week
after week. Our hospitality, along with a good
nutritious meal, has been appreciated by our guests.
New friends have been made and many who would
eat alone or not eat at all look forward to their social
time on Thursdays at Mary Mother.
We always have a main entree, fruit, vegetable, bread,
and assorted desserts and beverages including milk,
coffee, water, and tea. Some of the menus have
included chicken dinners, goulash, tacos, tuna
casserole, soup, stew, spaghetti, pulled pork
sandwiches, scalloped potatoes and ham. Guests
are welcome to eat as much as they want.
