dedication to academics and their community: Melissa Carreno, Jordan Doherty, Vienna Doherty, Ellie Jolly,
Stephanie Tomes, and Carly Yribarren.
 ATTENTION STAFF AND STUDENTS: AFTER MAY 1, 2015, ALL MONEY COLLECTED (INCLUDING LUNCH
PAYMENTS AND ASB FUNDRAISERS) MUST BE IN THE FORM OF CASH OR MONEY ORDER. NO CHECKS
WILL BE ACCEPTED.
 INTERACT CLUB: Meeting has been moved to Tuesday this week. We will be organizing items collected for
Lighthouse Rescue Mission. Grab lunch and come to room 109.
 MISSION MADNESS ANNOUNCEMENT: “WHATS UP” Mission oak? The school year is almost UP, and Mission
madness is right around the corner. Start getting your team together. So, grab an application from counseling to
have one last HOORAHHH. DUE MAY 8TH.
 ATTENTION JUNIORS! There is a meeting today at lunch in room 202. All Junior Officers must be there.
 CSF OFFICER APPLICATIONS for next school year available with Mrs. Jones in room 208. Due by end of
semester. Elections to be held in Fall.
 ARE YOU INTERESTED in getting more involved in your school? Do you love to cheer on your favorite players or
sports at school games? Do you love to dance every time you hear music? Well the Mission Oak Pep Squad might be
the place for you! Cheer sign-up packets will be available to pick up starting Monday April 20th. All packets are due to
Mr. Robles by April 30th. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Cheer Clinics will be held May 11th-14th,
with tryouts on May 15th.
 DO YOU LIKE COMPUTERS? Do you want to learn how to make games or apps for your phone or tablet? Talk to Mr.
Conn in 601 or your counselor about the new Computer Science class being offered next year.
 THE LIBRARY IS CLOSED Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. We will be open on Wednesday before
school and during class time.
 STUDENTS INTERESTED IN DRAMA II/III next year who have completed Drama I with a C or better or has taken a
Drama class before, don't forget to pick up an application Rm. 603!!!!
 FRESHMEN WHO ARE INTERESTED in taking world history honors next year, don't forget to turn in your application
BEFORE, Thursday April 30, 2015; this means the application MUST be on my desk by Wednesday April 28 by 12:45
(remember Wednesday April 29 is a minimum day).
 SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS who applied for English 3 AP or 4 AP: You must attend one of the timed writing
sessions this week or your application will not be considered. See Ms. Linder or Mrs. Reis for details.
 SOPHOMORES/JUNIORS: Are you interested in working in the office next school year as a paid employee? If
so, please stop by the Counseling Nest and pick up an application and return to Mrs. Gomes by Friday, May
22nd. Must have excellent attendance, no discipline, and a minimum GPA of 2.5.
 SENIORS: All seniors are invited and encouraged to attend a Catholic mass in your honor at St. Aloysius Catholic
Church, at 125 E. Pleasant St. in Tulare, on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 11:15 a.m. Please gather in front of the
church by 10:50 a.m. wearing your cap and gown.
 SENIORS: VERY IMPORTANT!! If you have received a scholarship that you would like announced at
Scholarship night, May 19, 2015, please fill out a form in the career center and give it to Mrs. Aguilar by
Wednesday May 6, 2015.
 THE RIVALRY RUN is coming September 19th! The Tulare Joint Union High School District Foundation
wants your help to create a poster to advertise our 3rd Annual Rivalry Run. See any Art or Graphic Art Teacher for a
copy of the Poster Contest entry form. There will also be forms available in the office. Winning entries from two
categories will each get $50! Entries are due to the District Office by May 15th.

THE TULARE JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT is accepting applications for a Head Girls Varsity Basketball
Coach at Tulare Union High School. Applications must be submitted on Edjoin.org open until filled.
THE TULARE JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT is accepting applications for a Full-time Home Economics
Teacher. Applications must be submitted on Edjoin.org by 4:00 p.m. on May 1, 2015.
MESSAGE FROM THE DISTRICT OFFICE: The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. We will be accepting NO
“out of state” purchase requests after April 1, 2015, and no purchase requests of any kind after May 1, 2015. Please plan
ahead for your purchases now so as to avoid the last minute rush. If you have an emergency need after these dates, you
will need an approval from the Superintendent. The school principal must present such requests. Your cooperation is very
much appreciated.
AS THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR APPROACHES the number of checks returned for non-sufficient funds grows
exponentially. As a result, the following procedure must be used for money collection at the end of the year: AFTER MAY
1, 2015, ALL MONEY COLLECTED (INCLUDING LUNCH PAYMENTS AND ASB FUNDRAISERS) MUST BE IN THE
FORM OF CASH OR MONEY ORDER. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
