 FRESHMEN COUNCIL has a meeting Thursday and Friday this week in room 204.
 JUNIOR CLASS: There is a mandatory meeting on Thursday at 3:30pm in room 607 to discuss final prom
arrangements. Be there!
 SOPAS will be having a meeting on Friday May 15th. This meeting will be to elect new officers for next school year.
 MO CHARACTER COUNTS program presents Q & A with members of the Rawhide Minor League Baseball team
during 3rd period on May 28th in the Career Center. If you are a student athlete and would like to join the dudes, let
Mrs. Jones know ASAP. Limited space!

 CSF & ASB CO-PRESENT the annual SENIOR Luau as the grand finale to Mission Madness week! Next Friday, May
22 from 7pm-10pm in the MO south gym. Wear your Aloha gear and get ready for dancing, shave ice, and encore
performances by the top 3 MM Lip sync teams. Only $2.00 w/ASB card, $3.00 without AND ALL SENIORS ARE

 BLOOD DRIVE IS WEDNESDAY MAY 20TH - If you are 16, 17, or, 18 and healthy we need you!!! Sophomore, Junior,
and Senior English Teachers have the applications and guidelines. Please return all forms to Luttrell in room 606
by Monday to get your appointment. We only have 75 spots.
 APPLICATIONS TO BE A LINK CREW LEADER next year are available now. Pick up a Link Crew application from Mr.
Hazelwood in Room 206 or the counseling office. The deadline is Friday, May 15.
 THE LIBRARY WILL BE OPEN tomorrow through next Wednesday. The last day to check out any library books is
this Friday, May 15.
 REMINDER TO ALL FRESHMEN who were accepted into next year's Honors World History, there will be a mandatory
meeting on today in room 111. Students may attend either the lunch meeting or the after school meeting. If you do not
attend this mandatory meeting you will be dropped from the class. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Pereira in
room 111.
 ATTENTION NEXT YEAR’S AP BIOLOGY STUDENTS: If you registered for AP biology next year, there is a
mandatory meeting Thursday in room 121. If you are not there, you will be dropped from the course. Lunch will be
provided. Do not be late! Bring your own drink and be there. See Ms. Brown if you have questions.
 SOPHOMORES/JUNIORS: Are you interested in working in the office next school year as a paid employee? If
so, please stop by the Counseling Nest and pick up an application and return to Mrs. Gomes by Friday, May
22nd. Must have excellent attendance, no discipline, and a minimum GPA of 2.5.
 ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS! Prom tickets are now on sale! It is $50 for a couple and $25 for single. Head
on over to hawk's landing and buy you tickets for a night of fun!
 JUNIORS & SENIORS: If you are taking a date to Prom that does not go to a Tulare Joint Union High School, you will
need to fill out a dance bid in the AP's office with Ms. Najera.
 SENIORS: Please be aware that the "20-day rule" is in effect. Student that violate education code relating to drug and
alcohol offenses will result in loss of privilege to participate in all school activities including, but not limited to graduation
ceremony, prom, grad night etc.
 SENIORS: All seniors are invited and encouraged to attend a Catholic mass in your honor at St. Aloysius Catholic
Church, at 125 E. Pleasant St. in Tulare, on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 11:15 a.m. Please gather in front of the
church by 10:50 a.m. wearing your cap and gown.
 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE in the Main Office from Mrs. Rebelo for the Bob Oliver Award. This award is
given annually to all Mission Oak Athletes who have participated in athletics at Mission Oak High School EVERY
SEASON FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS (12 Seasons of Sports). Those athletes who meet this requirement will be
honored with a “LIFE TIME PASS” to all Mission Oak home sporting events, excluding play-offs, at the Mission Oak
Spring Athletic Awards Night. Applications are due to the Athletic Director for verification by Monday, May 11 th.

JV PLAYERS BASEBALL PLAYERS can turn their uniforms into Coach Matthews after school Thursday at the
baseball diamond.
 ALL WRESTLERS: There will be a short meeting during lunch on Thursday 5/14 at 12:30. Please plan ahead to
attend this important meeting.
 ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES: This year’s Athletic Sports Physicals will take place on Wednesday, May 20th during the
regular school day and will be offered for FREE/NO COST. All students planning to participate in a sport next year are
encouraged to attend. Boys will start in the gymnasium at 1:00 right after the lunch period ends. Girls will start in the
gymnasium at 2:15. Sign-ups and Athletic Clearance Packets are currently located in the Attendance Office. The
Athletic Clearance Packet must be completely filled-out by students and parents with all signatures and insurance
information provided. You must be signed up and have the completed Athletic Clearance Packet present with you when
reporting to the gymnasium for your physical. The deadline for sign-ups is Tuesday, May 19th. Please take advantage
of this great opportunity and remember that no athletes will be allowed to practice until cleared.

 THE RIVALRY RUN is coming September 19th! The Tulare Joint Union High School District Foundation
wants your help to create a poster to advertise our 3rd Annual Rivalry Run. See any Art or Graphic Art Teacher for a
copy of the Poster Contest entry form. There will also be forms available in the office. Winning entries from two
categories will each get $50! Entries are due to the District Office by May 15th.
