 ATTENTION ALL HARVESTING HOPE VOLUNTEERS! We will be taking a Harvesting Hope group picture next
Tuesday, April 14 during lunch at 12:45! We'll be meeting in front of the main Library doors, then we'll head over to the
front Oak Tree. If you have a Harvesting Hope tshirt wear it. If not, there are a few shirts left. If you are interested, see
Mr. Mendoza. Regardless of the tshirt, if you have ever volunteered with us, we want you in the picture! See you on

 APPLICATIONS FOR NEXT YEAR'S ASB CLASS are now available in the counseling office. If you want to be part of
building our school spirit and improving all our school activities, this is your chance. We're looking for highly motivated,
super spirited, and hardworking students to fill next year's class. No late applications will be accepted so make sure
yours is completed and turned in by April 10. If you have any questions, see Mr. Mendoza in room 110.
 IF YOU WANT TO RUN FOR AN ASB EXECUTIVE OFFICE or Class Officer Position, the Applications are now in the
Counseling Office! The final day to turn in all ASB Applications is Friday, April 10 and the election days will be on April
30th and May 1st.
 CSF MEETING TODAY MANDATORY for the 53 lifetime sealbearers! Lunch in Mrs. Jones' room. Our luncheon
is next Tuesday, so lots of details!

 IN HONOR OF NATIONAL POETRY MONTH, Mission Oak's literary Magazine "The Mission Oak Review" will be
publishing a special edition showcasing poetry written by MOHS students and staff. If you would like to have a chance
to see you poetry in print, type it up and give it to an English teacher. All submissions need to be turned into any English
teacher by April 10th.
 FRESNO STATE YOUNG WRITERS ATTENDEES: We want you to read your written work at Writers Cafe on April
23. See Mrs. Jones or Mr. Usher for details!

 SIGN-UPS FOR THE ANNUAL PROM DRESS GIVEAWAY are now available in the Counseling Office until April 14th
for Junior and Senior girls whose family is dealing with financial hardship. Your Student ID# is all you need to sign
up. Dates and times will be provided after April 15th.
Boys ~ you are also able to sign up for a Tuxedo rental if your family is experiencing hard times. Last day to sign up is
April 14th for both girls and guys.
 AP CHEMISTRY APPLICATIONS for the 2015-2016 school year are due to Mr. Conn by Friday. Also, brief orientation
and Q & A meeting Friday at lunch in room 122. See you there.

 ATTENTION SOPHOMORES: Tulare County Farm Bureau is currently seeking applicants for its 31st Youth
Leadership class. If you have leadership qualities and would like to take full advantage of this program please see
Mrs. Aguilar in the Career Center. Deadline is May 1, 2015. Also, you do not have to have any connection to
agriculture or Farm Bureau.
 ATTENTION ALL SOPHOMORES: AP Language and Composition (3AP) apps are currently on Naviance or printed
copies are available from Ms. Linder in room 209. Applications are due on April 17th. Please see Ms. Linder with any
questions.
 SOPHOMORES/JUNIORS: Are you interested in working in the office next school year as a paid employee? If
so, please stop by the Counseling Nest and pick up an application and return to Mrs. Gomes by Friday, May
22nd. Must have excellent attendance, no discipline, and a minimum GPA of 2.5.
 ATTENTION HAWKS: Fresno State will be hosting their 7th annual Computer exploration summer camp during
6/22-7/3. Tuition/Fee is $250 for 5 full-day sessions. 10% discounts for returning students. Some of the topics to
be covered are: A 3D graphics and a drag-and-drop tool for first-time programmers, MIT App Inventor a drag-anddrop programming environment for real world Android App Development, Java introduction of game programming
using Java. Java and Android Phone Development: Introductory topics on how to program Android Phone
applications with Java, LEGO robotics projects with Java, Special Seminar/Panel with Experts (each day for 30
minutes): Introduction and discussion of new technologies, ideas, and trends in Computer Science. If interested

 THE RIVALRY RUN is coming September 19th! The Tulare Joint Union High School District Foundation
wants your help to create a poster to advertise our 3rd Annual Rivalry Run. See any Art or Graphic Art Teacher for a
copy of the Poster Contest entry form. There will also be forms available in the office. Winning entries from two
categories will each get $50! Entries are due to the District Office by May 15th.

THE TULARE JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT is accepting applications for a Full-time Home Economics

MESSAGE FROM THE DISTRICT OFFICE: The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. We will be accepting NO
“out of state” purchase requests after April 1, 2015, and no purchase requests of any kind after May 1, 2015. Please plan
ahead for your purchases now so as to avoid the last minute rush. If you have an emergency need after these dates, you
will need an approval from the Superintendent. The school principal must present such requests. Your cooperation is very
much appreciated.
AS THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR APPROACHES the number of checks returned for non-sufficient funds grows
exponentially. As a result, the following procedure must be used for money collection at the end of the year: AFTER MAY
1, 2015, ALL MONEY COLLECTED (INCLUDING LUNCH PAYMENTS AND ASB FUNDRAISERS) MUST BE IN THE
FORM OF CASH OR MONEY ORDER. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
