Stop to see Mrs. Anthony with questions at any time! A NEW COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT is in the works at Mission Oak High School! Many students have learned this year about the internment of Japanese Americans at the Tulare County fairgrounds during World War II. At the start of next year, students will begin a campaign to build a state historical monument commemorating this important history on the fairgrounds property. If you are interested in being part of this campaign, please attend an important meeting this Tuesday during lunch at 12:30 in room 110. See Mr. Mendoza in room 110 for more details. THE LIBRARY IS CLOSED before and after school today. All library business can be taken care of at break or lunch. The library will open again Monday morning at 7:30. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WORKING in the cafeteria next year please see Mrs. Rathjens or Mrs. Cortez inside the cafeteria. FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH will be available for anyone under the age of 18 during Summer School at Mission Oak. THE FOOD SERVICE DEPARTMENT will be hosting a food show for students on July 29, 2015. This food show will allow students to try samples of food and provide input for planning future menus. To attend the food show students must register at www.surveymonkey.com/s/studentfoodshow . ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS: If you are between the ages of 16-18 and a member of CalWorks, TANF or Welfare family you may qualify for the SEE work program. Please contact Steve @ 733-6730. ATTENTION SENIORS: Worried about last minute details preparing for Graduation?? Don't let prior school year fees be one of those worries. ATTENTION SENIORS: The FINAL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST BINDER is now available and posted at the Counseling Office window. If you are planning to attend a College or University in the fall you will need to input your information into this binder to insure that your Final Transcript is submitted as we will be sending them throughout the month of June following final posting of grades. See Mrs. Gomes or Mrs. McPhetridge in the Counseling Office if you have any questions. SENIORS: Please be aware that the "20-day rule" is in effect. Student that violate education code relating to drug and alcohol offenses will result in loss of privilege to participate in all school activities including, but not limited to graduation ceremony, prom, grad night etc. SENIORS: All seniors are invited and encouraged to attend a Catholic mass in your honor at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, at 125 E. Pleasant St. in Tulare, on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 11:15 a.m. Please gather in front of the church by 10:50 a.m. wearing your cap and gown. SENIORS: All Graduating Seniors are invited and encouraged to attend this year’s Baccalaureate Service with your parents and your families. The Baccalaureate Service is a celebration which honors graduates each year. There will be a free gift for all Seniors in attendance. The celebration will be held Sunday, May 31st at 6 pm at the Tulare Assembly of God Church located at 316 S. Mooney Blvd. Please gather in front of the church by 5:45 pm wearing your cap and gown.
