All contestants must be full-time residents of Jefferson County – no exceptions.
A boy and girl winner will be named in each age group.
Last year’s baby contest winners are not eligible for this year’s contest.
Judges will view photos without any names and must not be related to or affiliated with contestant.
Watermelon themed photos are encouraged but not required. NEW CATEGORY: Best Overall Watermelon Theme Photo will be
selected from all entries.
This is a contest to brag and show off the personality of babies and kids through photography and not a professional photo contest.
While quality and clarity of the photo is important, the judges will be instructed to look for the baby photo that appeals to them and
really showcases the individual child.
Photos will be on display at The Opera House or other downtown storefront location. The winners will be notified by phone and/or
e-mail no later than June 9. Awards will be presented at the Kick-Off Dinner held June 12 at the Opera House.
Parents of winning baby photos will be responsible for organizing and decorating a float for the Parade on Saturday, June 20, 2015..

All applications and photo submissions must be received no later than 3:00 PM, Monday, May 25, 2015.
Entries can be dropped off at the Monticello Chamber of Commerce.
Entry Fee is $10 per application. Only one photo submission per child. Cash or Check (made payable to JCWF).
Photos must be 8 x 10 in size (landscape or portrait format orientation is acceptable). Child’s name should be on back of photo.
Photos may be in color or in black and white and should not be photo-shopped.
Once notified, each winner will need to submit an electronic version of the photo via e-mail to the event chair at [email protected].
This will improve the reproduction quality and allow for easy submission to the newspaper and chamber for event related materials.
