EDUCATION WEEK Many thanks to the parents and families who came out to attend our recent Open Night. It was wonderful to see so much interest in our classrooms, specialist areas and displays of student work. There was a lovely atmosphere as Gaters proudly showed their families and friends around the school. 2016 FOUNDATION TOURS It seems every week there are more tours for prospective 2016 Foundation students and our enrolments are growing quickly. So if you know of parents seeking a place for next year please ask them to phone the office and book a tour. Enrolment forms can be collected from the office or downloaded from our website. SCHOOL CROSSINGS AND SCHOOL CARPARK Thank you to the majority of parents who park in the streets surrounding our school boundaries and also use the school pedestrian crossings. It only takes a couple of extra minutes to set this wonderful example to our children and ensures their safety. GATERS AT THE MCG Did you notice our students dressed in Beyond Blue jackets and waving Hawks flags as the Hawks ran through their banner last Saturday night? What a fabulous and exciting opportunity for our students. GREAT SPORTS I would like to congratulate all of our students who have represented our school and participated in competitive sports over the last two terms. Apart from my observations I have also received regular feedback on the way our students conduct themselves – always aiming high to achieve their personal best but always showing respect and good sportsmanship. Congratulations Gaters! Go Gaters CHERYL SAMPSON CAMPS, SPORTS & EXCURSIONS FUND (CSEF) Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom.
