Job Title: Patient Service Representative (PSR)
Job Description: The Patient Service Representative supports the physician and accompanying clinical
staff in the delivery of healthcare by performing a variety of administrative-related tasks in order to
maintain a smooth and efficient front office workflow. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but
are not limited to: performing check-in and check-out functions, registering patients, collecting copayments, processing and tracking referrals, managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and
managing physician correspondence. Candidates must have basic computer experience, customer
service skills, and familiarity with medical terminology and insurance concepts. 1-3 years of experience
in a medical practice is preferred.

Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA)
Job Description: The Medical Assistant supports the physician and accompanying nursing staff in the
delivery of healthcare by performing a variety of medically-related tasks and by serving as an advocate
for patients. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparing patients for
provider, taking vital signs, setting up exam rooms, preparing and drawing lab work as directed, handling

Job Title: Surgery/Procedure Scheduler
Job Description: The Surgery/Procedure Scheduler schedules patient surgeries and outpatient
procedures, and performs other scheduling-related tasks for assigned medical specialties. Essential
duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating surgery/procedure times
between patient, hospital/outpatient surgery center and physician, pre-certifying procedures with
insurance companies, obtaining necessary equipment requested by physician for procedures, providing
pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients, assisting with patient inquiries, and following-up with
all parties to communicate any scheduling changes. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and
communication skills, proven organizational skills, and strong computer skills. One or more years of
surgery scheduling experience with a computerized scheduling system is preferred.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Job Description: The Administrative Assistant provides support for physicians and managers by
performing general clerical and administrative duties, and by coordinating operational programs.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing administrative support by
scheduling meetings, filing, sorting mail, composing memos and minutes, generating reports, ordering
office supplies, managing bulk mail, coordinating trainings, maintaining timesheets, record-keeping,
managing invoices, and serving as back-up to the receptionist and other administrative assistants.
Candidates must have strong computer literacy, excellent customer relations skills, ability to multitask,
ability to proofread documents, and an understanding of basic computation. 2-3 years of progressive

patient care flow, setting up exam rooms, assisting providers, performing designated diagnostic tests as

Job Description: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the administrative operations
of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group offices through direct supervision of administrative support
personnel. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating all
administrative operations of the medical practices, overseeing administrative support activities,
maintaining budgetary compliance, hiring and training new employees, managing payroll, ensuring a
safe work environment, managing master schedules, and assisting senior management with monitoring

Clinical Operations (LVN) performs both administrative duties and clinical services. Essential duties and

Job Description: The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of the administrative and
clinical operations of assigned practices and programs. The Operations Manager has budgetary
responsibility, functions as the key liaison with physicians and staff, promotes the productive growth
and operational structure of each functional area, supports employee growth and development,
participates in strategic planning and business development for areas of oversight, and functions as an
advocate for the needs of patients. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
ensuring staff compliance with policies/procedures/protocols, assuming fiscal responsibility for areas of
oversight, establishing effective patient care processes and workflows, maintaining quality control
programs, and maintaining strong partnerships and collaborative communication across departments.

Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Job Description: The Physician Assistant provides evaluation and treatment under the direction and
supervision of an affiliated physician—together, the collaborative physician and physician assistant
share responsibility for the health and welfare of patients. Essential duties and responsibilities include,
but are not limited to: providing medical authority when appropriate, performing complete physical
exams and assessments of patients, performing tests and procedures to augment physical findings,
documenting diagnoses, ordering tests, interpreting data and diagnostic results, prescribing
medications, and notating findings and treatment courses in patient charts. Candidates must be a
graduate from an accredited PA program with a current California PA certification and DEA license.
Candidates must be skilled in traditional disciplines of patient assessment and management. 1-3 years of

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner provides a variety of duties required for the evaluation and
treatment of patients, performing a vital role in delivering effective and efficient quality care. Together,
the collaborative physician and Nurse Practitioner share responsibility for the health and welfare of
patients. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assessment of patients’
health status, formulating appropriate diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans,
following-up with patients, and keeping the collaborating physicians informed. Candidates must be a
graduate from a NP program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing with a current, unrestricted
