Title: Vice President, Information Technology
Department: BDI IT
Reports to: CFO
Job Description:
This position is responsible for the technological direction of BDI Pharma and for aligning IT objectives to enterprise strategies
and objectives. The position will coordinate and administer IT resources and budgets, define IT metrics based on overall
business objectives and report on performance status.
Duties and Responsibilities:












Manage all information and communications systems, IT operations environments, and projects within the
company.
Advise senior management on strategic systems options in support of business goals and objectives.
Provide oversight of IT policy, processes, budget, and governance.
Ensure effective relationships and partnerships with IT stakeholders.
Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors and other technology resources in the organization.
Manage vendor relations and negotiate vendor contracts within defined parameters and objectives.
Manage, coach, and develop IT staff.
Identify future required competencies and prospective technologies needed to meet company objectives.
Oversee the design and implementation of new applications and changes to existing systems and software.
Maintain, evaluate and test system security and privacy risk, and system and information backup and recovery
capabilities.
Develop and implement user-training programs.
Develop performance goals centered on service, delivery and functioning of IT related systems, processes and tools.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:







Minimum 10 years of management experience with a broad range of information systems and platforms exposure,
along with a demonstrated ability to lead large scale projects with proven results and effective leadership skills
A Master’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, management or related
field.
Sound knowledge of business principles and processes, healthcare industry experience preferred.
Experience in systems design, development and security and knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred. Must have
knowledge of various computer operating systems, relational databases, PCs and PC maintenance, as well as
networks and network administration.
Ability to define, manage, and resolve risks and issues with severe complexity.
Proven skills in negotiating with vendors, contractors, and others.
Strong analytical, planning and creative skills in the Information Technology & Communications environment.
