2014-2015 Navajo Times Winter Sports
All-Star Nomination Guidelines
ALL COACHES and ATHLETIC DIRECTORS:
This nomination form will be used to formulate the 2014-2015 Navajo Times All-Star teams for
the winter sports including girl’s basketball, boy’s basketball and wrestling. We will also select
basketball players of the year, wrestler(s) of the year and the coaches of the year.
For WRESTLING only:
Please nominate up to 7 of your own wrestlers in order of consideration – first nominee
would receive highest consideration, second nominee would get second highest
consideration, etc.
Also, please nominate up to 5 opposing wrestlers that you competed against during the
2014-2015 season that you feel are worthy of consideration. These five wrestlers should
also be listed in order of highest consideration.
Lastly, please nominate a candidate for Outstanding Lower, Middle and Upper
Wrestler of the Year, as well as a Wrestling Coach of the Year. This could be your
own student-athlete, coach or a member from another team.
For BASKETBALL (girls and boys) only:
Please nominate up to 4 players from your own team – first nominee would receive
highest consideration, second nominee would get second highest consideration, etc.
Also, please nominate up to 4 opposing players that you competed against during the
2014-2015 season that you feel are worthy of consideration. These four players should
also be listed in order of highest consideration.
Lastly, please nominate a candidate for Player of the Year and for Coach of the Year
for Winter 2014-2015. This could be your own student-athlete, coach or a member from
another team.
The complete list of the 2014-2015 Navajo Times All-Star teams for the winter sports will be
published in the March 26, 2015 issue of the Navajo Times. It will also be posted on the Navajo
Times website: www.navajotimes.com.
