In this key role you will provide support to staff in the Growth and Stakeholder Relations department; facilitate special fundraising events and student/donor recognition activities; assist with marketing and fundraising using digital and social media; and work with members of the Stakeholders Department to manage and maintain donor recognition, pledge management and collection. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with skills in event management and knowledge of innovative marketing strategies to reach diverse audiences including students and employers. Your responsibilities will include: • Coordinate special events including track activity plans and progress; create and track event budgets; enlist and organize volunteers; arrange event requirements including venue, catering and entertainment; ensure gaming licenses are secured and reporting is completed; and maintain a database of contacts and event information. • Liaise with Stakeholder Relations staff regarding promotional/advertising strategy; produce event materials, such as invitations and programs; manage information on CAREERS’ website, Facebook page and other social media; assist in the production of newsletters; and maintain an inventory of promotional materials and order supplies. • Manage and maintain databases; provide administrative support for Growth and Stakeholder Relations departments; and provide coverage for administrative staff when required. As Coordinator, you will have the following attributes: • Post-­‐secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar program. • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, and handle multiple projects with minimum supervision. • Skilled in the use of word-­‐processing and graphics design software. • Knowledge of marketing through websites and social networking.
